I will try something with the lambo l8r on, been tried the r8 there, not bad, just 2sec down, also nice car

Took me a while to do it ... this car is a nightmare on the PC.
I assume it's the same on PS3? (your video seems to support that)

I agree with you, it's a very nice car and almost as fast as the Lambo.

Question for you: did you change the gear ratios ?
They appear very different from PC, with default tuning at least (where they are quite short), but I like yours better.

yeh the f1 is undrivable here, the rear feel not connected with the track, to keep it clean I just ´´walk´´ around the track with the higher possible stance lol but is a really fast car......yes the r8 gt3 gears longer than default, max speed around 305km
 
Nice laps in those GTs Thiago.

I've been taking the Audi R8 LMS for a spin this morning, trying to beat the Lambo lap.
In the end I decided to sacrifice speed for downforce and kept the gears default, except 6th which I shortened.

PS: Got a mod from Nogrip with 3 new GT3 add-on cars: Ferrari 458 , Mclaren MP4-12C and Merc SLS AMG.
I never did laps on Nords with any of them, so do you guys want to see them in action?
 
37s GT3 good man thi:tup: Been away for the weekend so will have a crack at that tomorrow, gona be tuff tho its near the limit. Would like to see what the MP4-12C GT3 would do here bogdantw2, what a car that is.
 
It's a cool car Steve, all of them are actually :)

Earlier I took each one for a spin, but none seem to be a speed daemon.
Nowhere close to Lambo or R8 LMS, all 3 reside in the 6:40's.

Video with the Mclaren will follow shortly.
 
Well here it is:

Mclaren MP4-12C GT3


Just a quicky, nothing fancy about this lap.
The car can go a bit faster if pushed a little more, but I don't think it's capable of laps under 6:40.
However it drives like a dream. Extremely easy to handle and very responsive.

I chose a Marlboro livery for the sake of some Mclaren nostalgia (the age of Senna)
The mod comes with a plethora of cool skins, you can see all of them at the end of the video.

Yup, true.

When I bought the game last year I was feeling the exact opposite about it.
Being used to Race07 series and GTR Evo, I was expecting a lot more. Shift2 looked and felt nothing like them so I put it away and decided to never touch it again.

What changed my mind was discovering SMS made long ago a patch (1.0.2) which fixed a lot of bugs from the original release and soon after the mods from Nogrip. That brought the excitement back, big time.
Still not a SIM, but s...t load of fun.

Yes, I do have it. And there is only one available upgrade: full works conversion.
In stock form it's not a bad car, but Works is rather ******.
Take the Mclaren F1 works, add even more turbo lag, a chronic tendency to swerve left and right on straights and you get the Agera works.

I actually had to do some research to see where I have it from, cause it's been in my game all along.
Apparently Agera is part of a so-called "hidden car" package of some sorts which also includes: Alfa Romeo 8C Spider, Aston Matrin DBS Volante, Audi R8 Spyder and Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster.
I have all of them.
The hidden cars were unlocked from within the UCP patch from Nogrip, but I didn't realize that until today.

And since we're on the subject I also have two Hot Pursuit bonus cars, unlocked with VIP rewards from EA - Lambo Reventon Police car and the Zonda Cinque.
But I assume you get them on consoles too, being affiliation bonus cars ...

Damn that is fast, how bout the Bugatti Veyron SuperSport is that as fast as the works one? think i need to get on A class again just hate the bugatti its a big daft lump

Stock SuperSport is not as fast as the normal Works one.
But I think SS is works convertible (or in any case upgradable to a high degree) and does become faster than normal version.
I don't have much experience with it though, not a big Veyron fan. We both have similar feelings for the car.

I extend those to Murcielago as well. That one in Works form drives more like a bob sleigh on ice, rather than a car. 'All muscle no brains' kind of machine. Hate it!


Now, about the Gumpert Apollo, which we both like a lot.
My former Nords best - 5:48, seemed to be the limit for what the Gumpert can muster on the PC. I never saw it go any faster.
However, after doing that lap I felt I could improve just a tad more in a few corners for a low 5:47 or high 5:46.
Easier said than done, best I could do since was to match that 5:48 a few more times, then gave up.
Dunno how it is in PS3, would be interesting to find the limits of the Apollo in there as well.

There are 2 other non-Veyron/Murcielago cars capable of 5:40's, at least on the PC.
One is the Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster works converted. Fastest PC lap I've seen is 5:45, but I think the car can do a bit lower still.
And the second is Huayra Speedhunters, best I've seen is 5:48.
It's an incredibly quick car with mind blowing acceleration. It's perfect on the straights but it doesn't corner very well.

Yup, good work Thiago! Fastest Apollo time yet.

Had a go at it as well, but decided to start from scratch with the setup.
Higher downforce (5/6) and shorter gearbox(final drive at 6, 5th and 6th at 3) seem to work best for me.
I lose a bit on top speed but it's much faster and more stable around the corners.
So far I only managed 5:47's but in all laps mistakes crept in.
I figure a clean run should get me right next to or below that FXX lap time I've set.
 
Page1 updated. Nordschleife A class (2354) GUMPERT apollo 5.47.856 am sure i can improve on this, only had 4 freezes :lol:
 
Yup, lap times worthy of upper A.

And here's a new addition to my car "collection". I only installed it last night, but I've been very impressed with it.
It looks just as good as it handles - brilliantly
