Do you guys think that GT5 will include NOS in GT mode and online events.

Personally, I would prefer not, because in real world racing, this is not the case. Maybe including it in drag racing (if included) would be a better bet.

In real world racing, you use whatever's legal for the event. And in some races, nitrous oxide is legal.

As for NOS... well, I've always preferred New Old Stock parts over reproductions, when I could find them... gives you that true 'vintage' look.

i'm fine with NOS,as long as

1.The AI don't use it
2.It dosen't look like this-

Fixed. Umm, I want AI use NOS, maybe for several events. It would makes the AI more challeging.

I don't know how useful an energy drink could really be?

As long as you don't pour it in the tank thinking it's an octane booster, you should be fine.

Me thinks our sarcasm is quite lost on some people here.

Too busy blowing the welds on my intake manifold to care, though.

EDIT:

Dear kiddies:

This is NOS:

This is also NOS:

This is, likewise, NOS:

This is a Nitrous Oxide Injection System.

GT5 is not need for speed. GT5 is intended for serious (racing) drivers not for some @#$%^ who tune their cars and then they race on the streets putting every one of us in danger. And after they break their spine they say " I may never walk again but this is what it takes to be a real racing driver "

Wait a bit... I'm sure we'll get to hear the one about how rear spoilers and front splitters are all rice...

NOS?
Only if it makes the release date go faster. FFS
Seriously, NOS was one of the most pathetic additions to GT IMHO.

I cracked out a high 7 on the 400m with the addition of Nitrious Oxide in GT4, I wasn't complaining :)

As for GT5, you don't have to fit it to your car if you don't want and online should have options to bar it.

^niky. Okay, from now lets call N2O or nitrous oxide rather than NOS. NOS is a brand.
Who cares when clearly EVERYBODY knows what is being referred to? It's the insecure pedantics out to try and prove their superior knowledge that ruin threads like this.

If we have the Nitrous systems and drag races in the game, we should have something like "Pinks" style racing... best outta 3, lose the race, lose your ride. Would be an interesting thing to put in the game...

Since when you can use NOS (or better said, N2O) only on street races? I believe you have been watching The Fast & The Furious a bit too much.

Anyways, bring it back. It was a good addition to the series, particularly for the best drivers. 👍

I think it shouldn't be allowed in online races full stop.

Nitrous never bothered me in GT4, i never used it and neither did the AI (at least not that i know of).

I wouldn't mind having nitrous systems included, even though I doubt I'll use them (just like a bunch of features you guys want :P ). But yeah, I wouldn't want it available in all races, and I don't think I would want the AI using it if you aren't.

It was a great addition to the series in my opinion. The extra horsepower allows drivers to perform drifts in very underpowered cars (such as the Midget II) but it was a very limited system in that only the smaller engined cars (4cyl & rotaries) got the full 100hp, whereas the sixes got 70hp and the V8's/V12's only got 50hp. In reality, the bigger motors could handle the bigger amounts of nitrous more. Also, I disagree with the NFS comparison....around 1/4 of the tracks in GT4 were street courses (Hong Kong, Paris V, Costa Di Amalfi, Citta Di Aria, Cote'D Azur to name a few) and some of the best racing came on those circuits!

Ooooh yeah, that would be good....I can race you, beat you, take your ride, sell it (because obviously, if I had just won then their cars aren't as good as my car) and then spend more into my cars. ;)

Not really, quite the opposite. In my opinion, it is more about people who, understandably, get a bit annoyed by the use of a brand name which is substituted for the actual product. A substitution that came about as the result of product placement in a cheesy movie, at that. After said movie came out, many of the younger crowd found it "cool" to use the term and felt that it showed that they had "superior knowledge." In fact, what had happened was that these people had swallowed the cheesy product placement and the endless repetition of the "word" hook, line, and sinker. :sly:

That said, I wouldn't mind the continuation of the inclusion of nitrous oxide (N2O, nitrous), as long as we have the option to turn it off. It would fit particularly well if drag racing is included.

N2O is okay as long as it doesn't end up in a Need For Speed-style system where stunts recharge it.

NOS is a brand, Nitrous is a power adder.
For 'car guys' you sure don't know ****.
I think most people know that :dunce:. It's a question of being indifferent over the use of using that brand to represent the system or not.
