Nitrous, KERS or some kind of a power boost system could be intresting in GT5.
In Arcade or GT mode you could use it in any race you want if you've installed power boost system on your car.
But in multiplayer the server host should be able to decide if the power boost is allowed or not.
In my opinion this kind of feature would add the excitement of online races.
Of course the amount of nitrous would be limited per race so you should have to use it wisely.
In Gran Turismo 4 you were able to install nitrous system on your car. So it's bit weird that it is not possible in GT5.

-Sorry my bad english :S

What do you think?

I'd like Nitrous, it would add a lot to the online experience.

There was Nitrous in GT4 if you can recall correctly.

*Chasing Pesky Hybrid down Mulsanne...Not gaining...Presses NOS, while sceaming "NOS!!!"...Instant vortex + green flame shooting out from exhaust.

Pesky Hybrid: Da 🤬?

I had good times with nitrous in GT4.

Yes there was, although I'm not really missing it to be honest, that's not saying I would object to it being included again but I could do without.

Yeah. the only thing it really added to GT4 was aiding in the 200 pt A-Spec farming. Beyond that, meh.

KERS would be really nice, like in F1 or in the Scirocco R cup, where the drivers are alloewd to push the boost button a certain number of times each race.

NOS plus GT5 draft = homing missile

I think I'm good without it.

drs just for the x2011, including its drawbacks.

Haha I just laughed out loud at this. 👍

I can understand why there is so much hate towards NOS in particular but I'm sure that everyone wants to at least try it out again. People where is your immature side at?

I'd like to see Nitrous back especially if the test track is going to be added. Spent hours trying to get that extra mph out of a car on GT4 :) . It could also be helpful in drag races but I'd like to see an option to disable it in online events.

KERS would be a good idea but cars that use it in real life would have to be added as well (afaik no car currently in GT5 uses a KERS Boost system IRL).

Hated them in GT4 and would hate them in GT5.

If they were limited to specific cars/categories, then maybe they could be a good addition to the game.

Overall I just think it's stupid to see Ferraris, McLarens and even LeMans cars with NO2.

In my opinion it would only be acceptable if engine wear was speed up like in real life, for example if you had a car with NOS on the Nurburgthing, by the end of the lap the engine would have lost 10% of its HP. It would be good for drag racing, though. But then again, could you imagine if a troll got his hands on a X2011 with nitro? We're talking like 2000 HP.

Well technicly, nitrous is just a "poor mans FI" system. Modern nitrous systems spray automaticly and gradually between a certain rpm range. The effect is quite simular to a turbocharger or a supercharger. No fast and furious instant tunnelvision button i'm afraid.

NOS yes, KERS no. But noobs would drive the X2011 with nitrous and brag about ramming people at 300mph.

Leave it how it is. I mean a reduced slipstream has helped to solve the matter of dragging along a slower car with no setup whatsoever. I think KERS and DRS are good ideas for GT6 but too late for GT5. NOS could most definitely come back.

Hell no, it would turn into NFS.

Exactly! Probably the first time I agree with a Yankees fan...

Kers if it's in the car and the car is in GT5 then it should have it, otherwise no.

I never like NOS or stuff like that, pretty stupid and kiddo stuff if you ask me. Good way to burn your motor.

We had NOS in GT4, why not? I loved it.

Hell no, it would turn into NFS.

Please elaborate on how that would happen? So your saying GT4 was like NFS since it had NOS?

Lets put it this way, you're gonna have retards racing online no matter what..

And your probably one of the people who are begging for a livery editor..

Heck no let PD sort out the problems with the game and the idiotic DLC first.

GT4 was an offline game, NOS online will be abused and knowing PD they would fail to implement it. And why the hell wouldn't I want a livery editor of some sort? The customization in this game is boring as hell: paint the car, paint the rims, the end.

Yeah, give us nitrous. But fix the GLC (greed loaded content) issue and even out regional distribution of special content first.

Nitrous only makes sense with a properly implemented drag racing system. Doesn't belong on a road course, plain and simple.
