The new Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (C6) lapped the ring in 7'42. That's tied for the second fastest time on the list with the Porsche 996 GT2 (which is also not on the list). Yes it's faster than a Pagani Zonda S, the Lambos, the Ferraris, etc. The only faster car is the Porsche Carrera GT, which only costs 10 times as much Pretty impressive, huh?

Have you got a link for that, I've been waiting to see a Z06 time ever since the base C6 put in a time of around 7.56.

Well it's in the newest issue of Motor Trend, but I couldn't find any reference to it online. Apparently the new Trailblazer SS is quite fast on the Nurburgring also, which is really odd since it's an SUV...but Porsche and BMW often test theirs there, so I guess it makes sense. Here's a link to a very short video of the Trailblazer SS on the Nurburgring...it's kind of funny seeing an SUV out there, and the guy on the camera actually laughs at the end.
