SOme excuse!!! You must have been at work at ... 6 in the morning, or something?

Goixoye, you have it this week my friend and you deserve it 👍 I went go-karting with Jump_Ace today intead of rerunning at the ring at it was a whole lot better for my nerves!!!

Whatever time is on my PS2 right now will be what I submit ... congratulations and well run :)

Got some new times, I don't think I can go much faster:

T1: 0'45.057
T2: 1'19.503
T3: 1'47.680
T4: 2'38.553
T5: 3'17.199
T6: 3'44.191
T7: 4'33.862
T8: 5'15.930
T9: 5'37.482
T10: 6'19.802

The stupid thing is that I know there's still more time there to be found. To be honest though, I think I could only go about 1 second faster and that's with getting everything perfect.

Of course if hotboi or holl01 were here they'd blitz my time.

Thank you Dave, I've really enjoyed this week. (Though I must be the only one ;) )

I'd love to see the ghost when this week is over ... I dare say that I'll not learn much, you'llbe going too fast, but I'm sure interested.

Someone really needs to come up with a way of translating PAL replays to NTSC and vice-versa.

I'd happily provide the replay to you but it's not much use at the moment.

Dammit, i had some laps with those first few T's, but i never got the car round angstkurve or through wipperman if i managed to get times like that.

It always fell off somewhere on the lap.

That is a blistering laptime there VT, well done, Kudos to you 👍

I think someone should fetch veil in here so VT has somebody to race against, i wouldnt have the patience to try and land a lap like that, it'd be the end of my wheel if i fell off.....

Hats off man, thats awesome.

Keep your chins up everyone, and lets see the great results!

:irked:👍

Finally brought the quicker lap home. Although I wouldn't exactly say I ''nailed" it. It's a good time for me but not compared to VTRacing. BTW awesome lap, 15 secs quicker than me.

Two-fisted. TCS/ASMs=0

T01: 45.791 (-0.652) good start 👍
T02: 1'22.183 (-0.498) slipped a little 👎
T03: 1'51.412 (-1.171) now were talkin'
T04: 2'44.012 (-1.533)
T05: 3'22.926 (-2.836) biggest individual sector gain of the lap 👍 👍
T06: 3'50.286 (-3.471)
T07: 4'42.800 (-3.907)
T08: 5'26.757 (-4.183) largest accumulated gain of the lap 👍 👍 👍
T09: 5'49.684 (-3.439) began getting cautious...too much to lose by messing it up
T10: 6'34.605 (-2.793) still cautious
Final: (-3.375) so I grew back the advantage a little bit

A careful analysis of my 2 best laps indicates that I could be 1.544 quicker. I would say that the 0.582 gain from the end to the finish line is probably due to having the full 316HP (vs. 304HP). The rest of the improvement is possibly due to the HP and the two-handed driving.

1006.9 miles on the odometer...so it took me 4-5 hours and 328.1 miles to get 3.375s. Was it worth it? That's a good question. 600+ miles for the week. Definitely the most time I've put into this series so far.

My setup:
3.8/5.5
102/102
4/5
3.0/2.4

As you may have noticed from previous posts I developed this set-up on Deep Forest....pretty much entirely on the first sector. I think in the future I will continue this procedure (tune on Deep Forest...race on the Nurb). One of the things I liked best about this set-up is that I could hit it hard from the middle of the corner on without worrying about the back end coming around (unless it sniffed the grass). In last week's BMW at the hairpin after Klostertal & before Karussell if i got on the gas too quickly and too hard the back end would come around.

I wasn't trying to bash Scaff (or his set-up) with my comments. I appreciate all the input I can get from all parties. I was merely feeling a little proud of myself for developing my own set-up and beginning to actually understand things a bit. If I had given Scaff's set-up a little more time I might have actually liked it better. At the time I tried it I had about 300+ miles with my set-up and maybe ran his for only 10-20.

I definitely learned something about tuning this week :) 👍

Of course this still leaves my nemesis the Kolinator some time to respond and beat me as she always does.

I'm stunned Goixoye ... awesome run.

I also posted yesterday that I wasn't running again .. after Saturday I'd had enough of this combo and went karting with Jump_Ace instead; my tijme has been submitted for a while now.

Very good win this week ... you deserve it ... I really didn't have the heart to push myself anymore ... it just wasn't enjoyable enough!

Hi everyone, Im posting the results of this weeks racing tomorrow PM, had an awfull day and got to be up again in a few hours, thanks for your patience and thanks for the time submissions - On time 👍

cheers

Dave

@Koly, I hadn't noticed that you had finished for the week. I did notice that you were 0.3s ahead of at T10. So I drove my tail off trying to improve my time...hoping that I might be able to sneak one away from you. For whatever reason this wasn't as exasperating for me as previous weeks...but it was getting very near to that point...I had 2 laps that I lost just before T10 where I had'nt had trouble before...so I was becoming very discouraged and thus when I finally got close again I was cautious and dropped 1.4s on the the 2 sectors just before T10. I'm not sure that I'll have that kind of energy for Week 9.

Currently at T10 I'm ahead (barely) of Speedy Samurai so I'm curious to know if I might have driven well enough to edge him at the line
