hey guys, this may sound totally stupid, but is driving me crazy. When turning into corners i deaccelerate, but when i turn the wheel the car seems to accelerate without me doing so?? why is this. thanks

It applies throttle under certain circumstances to prevent under/oversteer.

My advice........TURN IT OFF!!

AIDS is a disease.......why would you willingly inflict your car with them??

I had the same problem when driving the Formula GT, posted a thread and got good answers here.

It's caused by the ASM trying not to allow your car oversteer or understeer.

Well, ASM turning off doesn't help for me, I'm dying of the understeer it gives.

I don't know why I was part of it. What I meant was that the ASM thing was the answer. Or Correct me if I misunderstood something.

No I didn't want the thread to be closed, I was replying to the post of the reason for the ASM accelerating without gas, it had nothing to do with the thread being closed and I am sorry for the confusion.

This wasn't a dumb question, IMO, and you certainly didn't waste anyone's time, slayr. Mistakes happen, and it's not like this was one of the questions that is brought up in new threads several times per day.

That said, I also don't see why this thread would need closing.

Yes, agreed.

I usually turn off all of my driving aids, (*AIDS* lol at rsmithdrift's post.) especially for drifting. It'd be hell trying to drift with those!
