My vote goes for aggregate L2+L3 times, and for Registry names.
👍 for your efforts :)
OK, but say we display Registry names. In your case it´d not be easy to find the GTP member that achieved your split because of the name difference. Would that be acceptable?

I think so, because I always race under GTP_DukeOfPendle, so that's how most people know me.
Also, In the divisions it's my registry name that appears.
After all that, I'll be happy with the majority 👍

In the spirit of sharing and owning a tuning garage, and in the never ending quest for speed, this could be worth a shot.
TLD Tune

It may not work for many as our driving styles may vary too much, but hey, worth a shot.

First attempt results.

GTP_01GTP
DFP
Div 3
1'55.192
1'54.867
3'50.059

If I remember correctly the leaderboard calculates the 2 times for us, is that correct Bigracer?

First results without any violations:
Lap 2- 1'52.679
Lap 3- 1'52.508

Edit: 01GTP, which leaderboard?

You know what Fuzzy? You're right.
If you reload your replay, it doesn't show total time. If you play back the replay immediately after the race it does show the total time. However, once you exit from there, that facility's not available any more.
Sorry about that - it must be an age thing. :dopey:

Ah no problem 👍 managed to add the figures up.

agree with Desmo99618,ranking the leaderboard only by the last laptime doesn't really show where you are in the competition....:)

spyrrari.

It doesn't really show where you are thats true but lap 3 is usually the one with no traffic or slipstream effect so it's a truer reflection of a drivers outright speed on the track.

i am sorry if someone has posted this but at the rate this tread moves its hard to keep up. since we start dead last would it be ok to just hit the brakes and let the field get 3/4 of a lap ahead and then run your lap? that will eliminate the ai element and we can concentrate on a clean lap. it said that we don't have to finish first so i think this will work.

You're absolutely allowed to do that.

But since the point of this event is to get the best total time, your solution wouldn't be one of the fastest.

Maybe you'll have a fast second and third lap, but that doesn't matter since you spent maybe 20 seconds waiting on your first lap.

You can do that if you want to. 👍

I don't think anyone has posted this question before, because this is not a 1 lap time trail. It's about who can do the fastest clean race time over the 3 laps, so braking at the start of the race wouldn't really give you a good total time.

Everyone is posting there laptimes of laps 2 and 3 because we are only allowed to discuss those times.

Talking about those laptimes, my best so far is 1'53.5, but I've only tried this event for the first time this morning.

The result is based on the overall race time for all 3 laps, so if you do that your time will be a lot slower than everyone elses.

ok, i misunderstood, i thought it was a 1 lap thing not a total 3 lap race. this is going to be tricky.

Lap 2: 01.51.933
Lap 3: 01.51.591

Race now done with the setup from "nd 4 holden spd"

Very nice laptimes, mate.
I've just finished my best time so far. On lap 2 I'm just .3 seconds slower, which is quite OK, but my last lap was 1'54.0 :ouch:.

I'm also using the TLD setup and I'm liking it. Thanks nd4holdenspd 👍

hmm intresting looks like nd 4 holden spd setup is paying off,I'll have to give it ago, not really improving my times with my setup.

I don´t have a GTP tag, can i still post my times or am i too late?

This is only opened to Gtp registred members who can then progress to the next stage. Nothing should stop you from doing it anyway but your times won't be considered by Sphinx at the end.

See post 1 on page number 1.

so when the best times are submitted you'll have about 16 replays to watch then Sphinx.

Worked on it some more last night and all I can say is "#@##@!^&&". Sphinx, you're one sick puppy! Like you noted, the harder you push, the harder it gets. I'll admit though, it is fun trying. Damn the AI idiots! Damn them! Best lap I've managed using my own setup was a lap 2 time in the 1,57 range. I haven't even watched my replays to check the lap 3 time but it's probably a bit faster because of where I'm overtaking cars.

I'm going to try out "nd's" tune tonight. I'm sure it's better than the one I worked out two nights ago. Maybe I'll pick up some more time. A couple more nights on this is all I'm going to give it though. I want this to remain fun. If I keep trying too much I'll forget I'm supposed to be having fun as I make up new obscenities to throw at the AI drivers, lol!

Cheers to all the sub 1,52 drivers here. You guys are amazing drivers, imo.

Finally got my times for L2 and L3 into the 1.52,600's
Could be cleaned up a bit :)

Fuzzy, looks like we about average to the same :)
