Ambitions/goals : To compete in a championship where my skill will be tested by players from around the world. Being able to dominate my block or at the University is no longer fun . . . I need a taste of some humble-pie just to see how I really stack up against other die-hard console racers.

Yeah, it's definatly a reality check when you come here thinking you're a great driver. I know I got one when I came here from another, much smaller, GT site. Suddenly you realize that you're just another average driver in the world of Gran Turismo. Running in the series here will make you a better driver for sure. I ran the Amemiya RX7 last season and loved it, ran the Altezza in season one and loved it also. Haven't decided what car to run this season, it's nice to run a car you're very used to, but learning a new car has it's perks also.
Anyway, welcome to the JGTC, there's a lot of great competition here and a great bunch of drivers.

This may not be the place for this .... but .... I need help ! .. and the guys in here have always been a help 👍

I was trying to download an Umber save.
I uncrushed it into the game. It wiped out all my tracks, cars, points and money :ouch: plus I didn't get any of the cars that was suppose to be in the Umber save

can someone shoot me a pm on how to get back to being able to race ?
Do I have to re-open all the tracks again ?

J.R.

PM sent buddy!

This one should sort you out.

It's 100% complete, all winable cars, all purchasable cars, all tracks, all missions done, all licences gold, loads of cash and NTSC!
Just remember to delete the GT4 game data off your card before you stick this one on!
Hope it helps.

God!

If I think back to Wk2 of the WRS when I first started on GTP..........

I thought I was king-d;ck, I could kick the arse out of all my mates by miles, no-one local could beat me! (Da Da Da Da! Der Daa Da! Can't touch this!)
Then, I joined the best GT4 community in the world, and found out how wrong I was!
I started out as a bottom of the heap, dead-last D3 driver in the WRS, and felt totally discouraged.
A year (and more) of racing WRS and a season of JGTC has taught me not only how to drive, but also what kind of racing I am good at.
I am now a middle-of-the-road D2 hot-lapper (WRS), and a pretty damn good endurance racer (JGTC,DTM).
As Andy says, Running with us guys will improve your skills and make you ultimately faster.
But above all else, don't feel pressured into trying to hard or feeling that you must get a victory at any cost!

Just build you skills, learn from your mistakes, and above all be patient!
The wins will come, you will improve, get better, get faster, get smoother.

Here, Here !
Coming from someone that didn't take a podium all last season.
Great group of people racing. Great series.
Only thing I would suggest....
If you join, stay ! ... no matter what, no matter that you're last and can't score a point.
Stay the course...don't you dare leave a partner hanging !
If you come here to race with us... then race.

Amen, brother!

If you join this series, you should stay with this series!
If you get a team-mate, NEVER let him down!
I am not sure if either the '1 drop race' or 'Temp driver' systems are going to come into effect, or not? But either way, if you say you are going to compete..................then compete!

A missed race through illness, holiday, work commitments, RL commitments is understandable......even expected!
It happens!

But don't drop out!
Don't commit if you can't say "I will always be here for my partner/team-mate/fellow competators"

Last season a lot of guys signed up. And by the 6th 'week' half of them were gone!
Either they got 'bored' (God knows how?), or they just couldn't be arsed to put the nesc time in and decided that a 'long race series' wasn't for them. (PU$$IES!)

We are a great group of tightly knit friends who want to race, need to race.
And if you can honestly, truthfully, say that you want, can, and will stick it out till the end.........You will be welcomed with open keyboards!

Thanks eats, I'm in JGTC baby!
Just been promoted to Division 1 in WRS too, this has been a good week 👍

Sorry to announce, I'm out. Don't have the time now, since I took up some more real-world stuff...

At least it's before the start of the season! 👍

Neil

Yeah, I figured out that now that I'm playing piano again, I won't have enough time for 45-minute runs, not to mention improving the time...

Jees Metar, lay off that real world stuff. It'l poison you! JGTC should be real fun this season. If there are teams, whom wil I go with?
(Just being sarcastic)

Hi eats!
Is there something news about running your series in GT300?
Is there any chance for it?I am thinking about joining again but I am only interested in GT300.

So far with the number of entrants we are looking at racing in a single class, like I said the final decision is entrants dependent. No way I'll start a season with like 7-8 in each classes to finish with only 3-4 racing on each side.

You've got right.Last season the number of quitters was very high.In each classes you started with 15-15 guys and there is only a few left, for example this number was only 2 in GT500.I understand your point of view.
It seems at the end I need to join in the higher class if I won't stay out from this big "bang"...
Well,I think again.

Hopefully we can get this show on the road soon, I'm hungry for it!
I'll be a bit slow for a few weeks, I've just got my new DFP ;)
