The Sony conference is 1.5-2.0 Gb each part and they are a little over 30 minutes each. So that alone is going to be over 6 GB and 2 hours. The Pulse episodes are ~600Mb and ten minutes each.

You are definitely close.

I don't know how long these will be up, but none of them are showing up in my download list, so get them soon or you may miss out.


Also, don't forget free Dexter and Voltron this week only.
 
Wow, great stuff at the PS Store! At lot of downloadable demos I've never seen before, too.

My PS3 is going to be on all night download the stuff I cued.
 
this is the first time I've filled my cue more than once in a row! Also for those that have one, check out the PSP store, it has much of the same content and a video store which I believe is new.

Well even just counting the videos on the PSN stores and nothing else, and not including copies replicated on multiple regions, and no videos from the PSP stores, it ended up being 87 videos with a total of 6 hours of footage and 16GB of disc space. :eek:


I still haven't had a chance to view all this new content, nor even finish watching all the coverage from E3 that I had recorded last week... but I noticed that there is some redundancy from one region to another regarding E3 videos, although most are unique, and even in the case of redundancy, I also noticed most of the time when the trailers were the same, the quality was not. In some cases the resolution was higher, in other cases, the bit rates were higher (less compression = less artifacts).

What playable demos can we look forward to in the upcoming weeks? Any rumours? I'm interested in both PSP and PS3. PSP has been dry for a long while now.
 
I quite like this VideoBox thing they've released, it lets you watch videos from your favourite artists through basically and equivalent of YouTube, but better quality of course. Quite a wide range of artists on it too, the only down sides I've found is that they don't have any available videos for Muse, and apparently Green Day doesn't exist. But they have other of my favourite bands which makes up for it; blink-182, Foo Fighters, Sum41, Bowling For Soup. So some good stuff on it, it's a little bit slow at the moment but this is the first time I've used it and speeds are supposed to increase the more you use it.

I watched the trailer for it and was very impressed... too bad for EU users as I'm sure like ReplayTV, and everything else they won't get it... oh wait... NM. ;)


I have been hoping for music videos via PSN since 2007 so I can create playlists for parties and this new application is even better, so hopefully unlike ReplayTV that has yet to make it over here, they'll release it for NA users as well. 👍

It is very good, video and sound quality is better than I expected. Nice easy menu system and a huge spectrum of music tastes catered for. One thing, the the text entry system is a bit of a pain. Anyone tried it with a keyboard?

Yeah especially as YouTube has tighted access to music videos and removed loads of unofficial ones its a welcomed service, though, as you stated its literally only Sony BMG artists who are on there.

Its good in a way that the vids are in SD because I suspect it will take a while to buffer on a tipical UK connection. If it was HD I think there would be some issues!

Correct. Unlike accessing other regional PSN stores, but like many online games, it checks to see what region you really are in by your actual DNS access point. In fact, if Sony wanted to they could do this for their PSN stores as well, like the regional 360's XBL Marketplaces, and thus deny access to other regional PSN stores... fortunately they haven't done that yet, even though they are well aware that many people are doing this in order to see and or get content from other regions.

Is there any demand/poll/asking SONY or PD page about putting GT1 and GT2 onto the PSS ? Or maybe this is already officially in consideration by SONY ?
 
It would be very costly to release GT1 or GT2. GT1 wouldn't be as costly. They have to renew every licensed product in the game. With GT for PSP on the horizon this may not happen for a few years.
 
Probably would just be easier to grab a copy off of eBay, it's only like a couple bucks.

I would like them to be available so it can play on my PSP without having to go with custom firmware. Otherwise, I still have my disc copies of both games.

With GT PSP I will likely be happy, but it seems they are designing the GT Mode to be different than that found in the console games, so having a traditional title would be an added bonus.

Anyone here bought FFVII from the store?

Has it got any problems when it's been made into a PS3-able game? Or is it as good as the glorious old days of FFVII on the PSX?
