Why is the Oil Change guy so darn slow. I always dred coming his way.
Also, on my AWD cars does he come out the back because he's checking my driveline and rear end? If so, then why doesn't he check the driveline on my FR cars?
 
He's changing the Diff oil as well..

Ohh the times I've wished for a "skip lousy animation" button.. It's 8% fun the first time - Then the fun factor decreases by 72% each time you have to watch it :grumpy:

A retarded grease monkey is what he is... Good for nothing but changing oil bastard - I hate him with a passion after seing him 800 times...
 
Actually, he's slow, because while he's under your AWD cars, he spins the crawler around so that his head is at the wrong end when he comes out.
 
stop bashing him. Hes probably more talented than any other oil change guy for the fact that he can pump oil up from underneath.

What's with all you guys? That Oil Change Guy is a helluva lot faster than I am doing an oil change, or any dealer/mech I've been to. He must have a vacuum pump to get it out that quick.

Yer man does a 160(?) mile service in seconds, for 50 wotsits, and you complain? Tough crowd.

No no, he has several super abilities.

Aside from his crawler spinning abilities that have already been mentioned, he has the ability to fill the engine with new oil without ever opening the bonnet (hood), and the ability to make waste oil miraculously disappear into thin air. He also has the ability to generate new oil from nowhere (there's no sign of an oil can), and remove old oil with no tools at all. Does he use his teeth to get that sump plug out?... :crazy:

The guy is a marvel of modern science I tell ya!
 
What amazes me most is that you never hear him swearing under the car, even when he gets hot oil on himself. He sure is super mechanic! :cheers:

But he always leaves a few greasy finger prints on the bonnet/hood so I have to get the car washed straight after. :odd:

Wow. I sure hope they have an option in gt5 to turn that crap off. Maybe even the pit animations, as well. Although, I highly doubt that they'll turn off the pit animations, for the whole 'simulator' gettup. It'd save a lifetime of boredom between races or whatever. It wouldn't hurt to change all of the music in the game either.
 
pit stop animations should stay as that is part of the race process, you shouldn't be able to skip through them.

However an option to speed up the car wash and tyre & oil changes would be greatly appreciated, preferably by having the animated mechanics do their job at double or triple speed and accompanied by circus music. :lol:

or any music other than what they've got now... :banghead:

I work at a car wash, and do alot of drying cars. Its a good job, pay is alright, good coworkers, decent management, never have to work weekend evenings. Good overall place to work.

He services all the cars of Gran Turismo so he makes sure the oil filters arn't too tight. He also seems to get to Silvia (SR20) oil filters really easy, I want him to tell me his secret :).
 
if he is so great then why don't teams let him work on the pd f1 cars? i think he had some problems in the past. maybe drug abuse, convicted felon, i don't know. i am leaning more towards slightly retarded. :crazy:

That's because he has no fans. He would if he could speed up to at least GT3 oil change times. I hate him.
THERE NEEDS TO BE A FUNCTION WHERE AN OIL CHANGE CAN BE PERFORMED IN YOUR GARAGE WHILE YOUR IN ANOTHER CAR, ON YOUR WAY OUT.
