In GT3 how often should you change the oil to keep the cars performance at its best?

I am just starting out so what is the best car to but first?

Thank you.

You want to change the oil as often as possible as it directly affects your horsepower. Plus since its cheap it won't kill you to do it after every series.

As for first car my suggestion would be to get all golds on the B luicense exam. This will give you a 160 bhp. Mazda Miata that can win several races without any upgrade cost to you. So just hang in there get the golds, its worth it.

Hey, welcome to GTPlanet both of you!

I have to agree here. Getting golds on the early licenses will really help you out early in the game. I was always short on cash until about the end of the Beginer's League. But after that the money rolls in pretty quickly.

The cars tell you when they need an oil change. There is a light on the 'dash', in the RPM gauge. It's supposed to come on at 300 miles or so. But if you can afford it, get it after every series like coffeepot suggested.

You can also get a few extra horse power in your car if you change the oil imediately after you obtain it. This trick works for any car. It will go up a bit more after you run a few races and get the oil changed again. That's from the 'breaking in phase'. Then you will see it slowly and steadily decline (even with regular oil changes) from then on. This is just a piece of the 'realism' that they've tried to incorporate into the game.

If you're wondering about why there's no car damage, we at GTPlanet tend to think it's because the manufacturers didn't want their cars all smashed up. I don't agree with that arguement because Burnout has car damage, and it has a lot of the same cars as GT3.

Like what, specifically?

I think they're similar, but they're not indicated as any specific make - they're not licensed.

Really? So they're like white box knock offs then, eh? Heh, thats funny (:

So maybe the rumors about damage in GT3 are right.

They put 3000 to 4000 polygons in each car which didn't leave much space for damage modeling I've read in OPS2...

Change oils before and after a long SERIES-RACE... that's important to keep the car's HP always at it's best. :D :D :D

Change the oil when the car is new,the oil is clean, than it can make the power up!
Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-APEX (AE86 Type 1) is a good car,I use it at frist!
