Nice to see your garage up and running. I'd volunteer to test your tunes but as I haven't played GT5P for quite a while I don't think I;m ideally suited for the job.

Old Farts, bah, young and fit is what wins races. Nah, I'm J/K.:P Welcome.👍

Thanks everyone.I now have a partner that will be tuning here also. His style of driving is totally different from mine and so are his tunes but when we race togethermwe are bumper to bumper so this should give you a wider choice of tunes for the same car.:tup:GTP_SeniorL8R is now a "Old Fart"

Welcome OFR. Senior will be a great partner. Everything he drives goes fast. 👍

OK, I have a few drivers testing this out but I thought I would let you try this also.So this is still a work in progress.

With this spring rate the car is throttle sensative. As you lift the front end tucks in and helps to turn the car.And when you get back on the throttle the rear end plants better.Just remember not to mash the throttle, role into it.
Enjoy.:)

Test Drivers; ZeeStig & Defino. Welcome aboard.

I have been very busy getting ready for the Stage 2 race. But after tonight I will be posting some new tunes for you to try.:)

CLOSED....see first post.:(

I'm really sorry to hear that KARTRACER, but I understand you completely. I'm also having very little time to play, and even less test your tunes. I expect to have more time next week, so if you want to send me some tunes via PM (or this thread), I'd be happy to comment.

Ok,time to get things going again.
I am working on a F430 for Daytona no mercy. Will have this out soon. Also,I need a few more test drivers, please pm me if you are interested in joining the crew.:)

The F430 is still being tested but I have gotten the Evo X Tuned for you.

This car handels the infield with little problem and drafts very well.Plan your attack and you will be up front in no time.
Let me know what you think.

I am seeking assistance in trying to tame the 599 for the current 650 Daytona event. I have tried this car from time to time but it usually isn't competitive. I feel it can give Godzilla a real tussle at Daytona but in my hands it is just pitiful to watch my lame attempts to complete even one lap. The problem I am having is that as I exit the banked corners and straighten the wheel (gently) the rear of the car immediately swings towards the wall and it's all over red rover. I have tried using gear ratios, camber, toe and ride height to reduce this nasty habit but with no luck at all. I am not even sure if this can be fixed with a tune but seek your help before returning the 599 to the garage to collect more cobwebs. Any assistance is much appreciated.

Already sent my review do kart racer via PM but it's worth sharing with our felow forum users.

This Evo X Tuned handles like a dream, it destroys GTRs and Ferraris in the infield, neutral, very easy to handle, a beauty. The problem happens in the straights, this car does not have enough power to keep up with the GTR in the straights, I actually drafted a GTR in the longest straight, but never got the speed to overtake it. On the bright side, this car is more stable under breaking, and has better breaks.

As kart racer said, if you plan well your race, you can keep up with the front pack and attack (carefully!) in the infield.

If there is anything I would change is the gear ratios, the sixth gear seems a little long (I'll try experimenting with it a bit in the next few days).

The F430 is still being tested but I have gotten the Evo X Tuned for you.

Thanks ZeeStig.I made 6th tall for the drafting so it dose not hit the rev limiter and you lose speed. But play with it and see what you come up with.I will do the same.👍

Hey OzOldTimer,

A lot has to do with throttle control... I haven't driven the 599 at Daytona yet, so I don't know how bad it is. But I've seen some guys driving it and they were much slower than the Evo I was driving when exiting curves, so I imagine they were just being very careful with the throttle there, to tame the beast. :)

I don't know much about car tuning, but it seems you want to control oversteer. You can fiddle with car height, springs and dampers to control that (gear ratios, cambers and toe settings won't do much for you, I think -- but it's better to have a second opinion here).

I'm still working on the 599. It's getting closer as it now holds getting on and off the banking better.
