One car GT really needs...

Noooooo!!!! Not another Skyline!

What we need is a Ford Escort Mexico or a RS2000 Escort! The Mexico was my first car and what a blast it was. It had a roll cage and was stripped for racing. I miss the sound of the twin side draft 40's, no air filters just stacks.

I think I will go have a cry! :( I wish I still had that car! :grumpy:

That's because you're from New Zealand.

Seriously, an old boss I had owned a 450hp R33 GTR and it was a real nice car, when I had rides in it it was a quick, sorted car. But he later had a 355 and it was a far nicer car in every way. Everyone has opinions and mine is that I'd try every type of Ferrari they could put in the game, there are classic '60s cars right up to brand new modern cars and that's not counting the various successful race cars too. The Skyline is good, but it doesn't have the heritage of Ferrari and most of the Skylines in the game have minor variances, not the big differences that are in the Ferrari history.

You cant compare heritages of one single car to any full car company -

Skyline vs Ferrari - doesnt match up

try

Nissan vs Ferrari

Spot on! But that doesn´t matter much, since the Skylines more or less is Nissans sports"heritage" (the Z cars not included that is) and Ferrari doesn´t have much else than sportscars...
To me, it will not matter how many or how few Skylines there are in the game, I´ll drive them anyway!! But a Ferrari or two would be a nice addition. :sly:

No, in this case, I wrote that because the guy said he would rather drive a Skyline than a Ferrari. If he had said he'd rather drive a Nissan than a Ferrari, I wouldn't have written it. He was saying he would rather drive a "single car" than any from a "full car company".

People say that skylines were put in and other cars were left out, I'm betting that not true at all. Since it probably took almost no extra effort to put them all in. They'd have never put 50 other cars in anyway if the Skylines weren't there.

Indeed, once the basic body modelling is done it would be very easy for PD to add further variations of it, although the 4-door version would have probably been a bit more work to do - perhaps it was not included for that very reason, that they felt there was already enough?

I'm sure a lot of people would include numerous similar versions of their favourite cars if they were the ones making the game - I know I'd have at least a dozen commodores if it were up to me! :D

fyi it seems Holden churns out 'new' model or 'series II' commodores every 6 months, which are really only facelifts - the Monaro / GTO is essentially a 6-year old VT series 2-door commodore ;) I'd happily fill my GT4 garage with them all! but I digress...

This 4-door Skyline would fit nicely in the Tuner garage and, as many have mentioned, it's a shame there are no late model RWD ones in the game.

if they're going to put a crapload of skylines then at least they should vary the line-up beyond a 3 to 1 ratio of R34 GT-Rs.

the word fast is very subjective. if you need a 500hp v10 for something to be "maybe fast" then sure a rwd 2.5l turbo skyline sedan wont be fast to you.

video games just dont show you how fast a car really is.

As I know, theres no late model RWD... They just got the ATTENZA system that transfer the power on the rear wheels...

I could be wrong tho, But Skylines has been made 4WD since the late R32's...

its called ATTESA-ETS not attenza and it transfers power to the front wheels not the rear and there are rwd R32, R33 and R34 skylines.

you can transfert both front and rear wheels...

why did I saw a system that was transferring the power on front or rear wheels on a Skyline ?? They use it for drift here in Quebec...

i have no idea they may have had a custom set up as it was a custom car... all i'm saying is that the system works by transfering some power from the rear wheels to the front when traction is needed. when its not all skylines are rwd.

on the money 👍

the 4wd system on the skyline is RWD biased i think max it goes 40/60, normally it's at 20/80 or something?

To put it simply, if it's an R32, R33, or R34, and it doesn't have "GT-R" or "GTS-4" in the name, it's a RWD model.

but think about it, it is a Japanese game, well, Japanese folks made it, and obviously, more people like Skylines than Ferraris i'd think (i'm looking at you ricers!) and so it'd sell, but certainly nothing wrong with having Ferraris..i'd love to drive some of em in GT4.

I would of liked more BMW's in GT4.

Like the
1998 E36 M3 Race/Roadcar

1998 E39 M5,

1997 E36 Z3 M Roadster

1979 E26 M1 Groupe 4 Race Car 470HP beast.

and lets hope they add the 2005 E63 M6 in GT5

also hoping they add the 2006 Aston Martin DBRS9 in GT5 as well.

i'll agree with that aston martin... more bmws... eh... a few race models maybe.

now who would rather drive a skyline then a ferrari? given the chance to drive an R34 and a 360 modena... i'd pick the ferrari. engine in the back, rwd, v8, and its a freaking ferrari...
