One car GT really needs...

As I know, theres no late model RWD... They just got the ATTENZA system that transfer the power on the rear wheels...

I could be wrong tho, But Skylines has been made 4WD since the late R32's...

Most R32, 33, 34 Skylines do not have 4WD they are RWD.


pSI civic is right ATTESA-ETS transfers power to the front wheels only if the rear wheels are slipping, under normal conditions (no rear wheel slippage) a ATTESA-ETS equiped Skyline is RWD intill traction is lost then the ATTESA-ETS supplys the front wheels with power (drive) the amount depending on the amount of slippage but up to a 40/60 ratio maximum. Obviously if power is diverted to the front wheels then less power will get to the back wheels so thats the only effect the ETS has on the rear wheels.


Skyline is a RWD based car, 4WD or not. There is no FWD or FWD biased factory Skylines.

guys you would think if we get all these new car, we will NEVER be able to get online, damage, body tunny (body kits, more/better spoilers, mabe some spinners for rims ) the last thing we need is MORE cars, we need to actually take AWAY cars such as, thers to many skylines, NSX's, EVO's, 3000GT's,RX-7's and MANY OTHER CARS, and if you think about it there all japanese that they over due on. we need veriaty, not MORE cars.

Remove cars = less choice = bad.

If I have to sacrifice a 69 Pontiac GTO for another R33 GTR then no way, I want a 69 GTO! but its little effort to add slightly different versions of the same car for more choice. I just wish the would do it for more cars.

less cars is why gt3 sucks. i'd play gt2 over gt3 anyday. more cars and tracks are whats needed i can live without dents and such. the way i see it the game will still get boring even if i can total my skyline but it will take longer to get boring if there are tons of cars to try out in different places.

i think it looks like a giant suppository on wheels. the engine was the same as used in the element and cr-v. does that scream performance to you? only 160hp. it didnt use the same type of vtec as the rsx-s. the 2006 si is a great improvment all around over the 2004.

2 things, SHUT UP ABOUT THE CIVIC who really cares, everyone has there own apinion, but yes it will be nice to have the new civic, cause for one it's vtec, and vtec pwns.

but at my statment, what i ment we need to take away cars before we add some new ones the ones that we have to many of, and i listed them.

more race cars for for manafacters cause there thousands out there lets get at least get a thousand cars with online play, night/day with random realistic to that area weather. more rallys car would be nice. and teh ability to cutamize your car and change color and have a couple thousand car garage, if we could get that then this IS the ultimate driving simulator.
and if the PS3 is as powerfull as i hear it could be able to play it.

i dont agree that there are to many nsx's or 3000gts. there are only 4 3000gt's i think and the nsx, at least the 92s need to stay. we dont really need a 98 AND 99 though.

now the eg civic, yeah there are to many but they did that to be realistic. not all colors were added all years. BUT they probably could have just but in a 95 or which ever had the most colors.

a car they really have to many of is the miata! i dont know what the difference is between the s-spec and v-spec and the vr-limited... there is a 1.6l and a 1.8l. who needs 3 or four versions of the newer 1.8ls?

the fd rx-7 there are also way to many of. i dont need an rz an rs and whatever else they have.

to many fto's. i think there are four? they only really needed the gp-x version r.

anyone think there are to many silvias? i dont think so but i thought i'd bring it up.

another car the game needs is the 93 integra gs-r. a rather nice car. 1.7l dohc vtec with a nice body.

and hey, sorry i'm all over the new civic... it just looks so nice in every new pic i see... the race model is just freaking hot! its even set as my desktop wallpaper.

hhmmm.. mabe your right about 3000GT i just see them everytime i go to the used car section, and then need to cut alot of civics and put some sedans in i mena theres not 1 SEDAN CIVIC IN THE GAME! and the new civic would be great. and about miata other then for the mini races who used them for races? i mean thereFF not very fast and well they dont compete with NSX Supra and them all. so lower down the miatas.


but you dont think there to many skylines? there like 60 diff version of the Skyline in the game.

Actually, the Element and CR-V uses a 2.4l four cylinder, while the Civic Si uses a 2.0l four cylinder. ANd i like the hatch so much.

I've read this same thread a few times, and I'm surprised I haven't replied 'til now.

I like the Skyline on the first post, but I think they should replace an older model with it, and get rid of a few more as well. There's just too many. I enjoy Skylines very much, but I think that GT5 could lose at least 10 by its release, and as well as a couple NSX's. Less quantity and more variety should do the trick.

And as for another car that I'd like to include in GT5:

The TWR Jaguar XJ220. If you've never seen one, just take a gander at my avatar. Methinks it's the best thing to ever happen to the automotive world.
But then again, that's just me.

As for Ferraris and such, I'll take'em by the boatload!!!

In order for PD to even out the car selection, I think they should add more "ordinary" american and european cars, to mirror the many, many compact/economy/slow japanese cars GT4 already has. Also, more sportscars. Including of course, Porsches and Ferraris and Lamborghinis.

Taking away cars does sorta defeat the purpose of increasing variety, but there are a hell of a lot of cars that are all mostly the same. Click here to see for yourself.

I dunno whether some of the "duplicates" should be removed, but I do know that there are WAY TOO MANY SKYLINES. The Skyline is, by far, the most plentiful car in GT4...

thanks. i had that idea a while ago but i forgot about it until now. i'd like to be able to select from different trim levels and options on each car. most cars come with different wheels, a spoiler and such other things as options so it would be great to have that in the game.

That's an excellent idea, pSI civic, and it could possibly cut down on disc space by making the spoilers and things individual objects that are tacked onto the base model, instead of having various models like I assume GT4 has.
