See you are just reiterating what the other guy did that caused my issue in the first place. If someone enters a room it is figured out by the settings they access from the various options - the track, the laps, the PP, BHP, weight, the grid order, the aids available etc. Why should the player have to ask what to run when the car they pick can Go To Track because it meets the regulations that have been set by the host after all.
Now of course there are times when you might want to create a specific type of race that the many options don't allow but it is no use if it is just in the mind of the host, it is surely up to him to communicate this to the room in a way it is guaranteed people at least can see and action accordingly. This is not babysitting, it's common sense and basic communication.
So if you are too lazy to be bothered to type it, instead relying on people a) listening and b) understanding your voice chat (itself presumptuous) then of course your rules are going to go astray. Even then, surely that would prompt you to type in the room NO RM OR RALLY when you see people have not got it and you have not really done much to help them get it in the first place.
Kicking them is a lazy solution to a problem you have caused by your lazyness. It's just bad hosting.
See heres the problem. First off as I said there is no way through regs to exclude all race cars/rally cars/etc. Theres always one that will fit in and people will always find it. Secondly I'm not defending the room host in your story at all, he very well may have just been lazy about telling you, but you ASSUMED he mumbled it on his mic when in reality he may have told you clearly but since you turned everything off then you wouldn't know. As a room host you know the game works in a certain way and everyone can hear you, YOU chose to turn off your mic so its YOUR responsibility to make sure you fit in the rules. As far as he knows you are just ignoring him and why should he have to cater to you?
Which brings me to my third point that I've been in tons and tons of rooms specifically marked "street cars" and "No RM or Race cars" which btw they only give you like 30 characters so its hard to fit all that in when you want to add an actual description. But anyway no matter the title people COMPLETELY ignore it. If hes a room host thats been around for a while he likely is tired of it and will just kick you for ignoring him, I don't blame him.
If you want to race in the guys room cut him a little slack and realize that just because you don't like to use a headset or listen to people doesn't mean they have to work around you. Its a nice feature that makes it much easier to set things up and discuss things before the race, as opposed to trying to type with a controller which is a frustrating waste of time. Maybe mute everyone then leave the room host unmuted so you can hear any changes in the race structure, especially if he has just changed the course and PP. Then mute him when he starts the race if it annoys you while driving.
I'm sorry but your view on this sounds completely selfish to me, JMO.
