Online Events being Update 10/31 around 1 AM EST

No Mercy Match FTW! The other events look a little lack lustre, so no mercy all the way.đź‘Ť
 
The Daytona All American race is one good money maker. I've come first for just about all the races so far, except the first race. I've already made about 300k cash which is quite worth it.
 
great!, nice events, seeing london city returns:) and love the name "no mercy match"
and for that event great pp set at 650 really can have alot of cars running there.
 
This online event update is CRAP it basically screwed all drifters. no one wants to drift datona oval and ferarri fuji is a load of crap who really wants to drift a ferarri.. Lets not mention suzy 650pp stuck on s2's

what a load of crap this online even change is. I dont understand why they wont have more than just 3 events for expert.

yes its easy drifting on s2's but to limit the pp to 650 i mean come on thats pathetic... i guess this online update was just to please the griper crowd.

No RBE race looks cool... Hope I can tune the Mines to cruise around there LOL... doubt it though .. :)
 
Shame no Eiger event. I am loving the English Stock Car London Race. The Evora eclipses on this track.

It is not just me, plenty of other people would like to see Eiger included in an online event. Not just time trial

What i was trying to say is why the hell do they swap from a good thing to a crappy update for online options, 650pp is boring. Also rusty i never said i cant drift on s2's BUT i ment to say was they are not a preferd tire for online tandem drifting. As i stated this update for online races was for grip racers and basically ruined gt5p for online drifting. Pretty much set the D1GT competition way back now untill some decent online events come back. The 650pp limit is far too low in my opinon as the average car pp i prefer to drift online is always over that limit, anything less is like driving the cappachino haha

Lets talk about datona why would anyone want to race that track in the cars they have allowed us and the tire selection. Can already see that track being empty for sure. Fuji ferarri and not a world event PLAIN stupid in my eyes.

Ok lets give the ntsc guys an update for online events but not allow them to race with pal users. EPIC fail. So what are we left with a ferarri challenge with a low limit of pp and suzuki with a low pp and tire limitations, or a track that is boring as hell.



BOTTOM line pd really missed the boat on these events hope they get some better ones VERY VERY shortly. Atleast they should have suzuka and fuji with 800pp and no tire limitations AT ALL TIMES and not change that. This way gripers and drifters alike can all have a good time.

Youve just lowered yourself to the level of a griper now.... and if I recall these are grip races online arent they??? Not meant for drifters... so to say they denied all drifters good events is a bogus comment... because the events online are for grip races... not to drift on... and I'm not saying you cant drift or whatever... thats youre choice, but to hold PD responsible because YOU cant drift the way you want to in the events and saying its an EPIC fail.... is your opinion of course but theres no point to hold them responsible and telling everyone it sucks, JUST because YOU cant drift... still dont understand your anger ... If they were all DRIFT events... well then it'd be another story...

^^ you strait missed my point of view didnt you? there was a competition that drifters were trying to set up and it was yes going to be next weekend and now that the online events have changed that has changed our event plans untill the online events change.

This is the reason i am angry not because of the tracks but becuase of the limitations that they have on suzuka the track that was going to be D1GT. Do you understand where im comming from now? I dont know how much more clear i can make this.

I will refrain from replying now as it is not going anywhere but i was just expressing my frustration on not being able to hold our D1GT competion now.

So continue back on topic ;)

so kaz, why did you take away the world event from us? seriously? instead of adding events and features you guys keep taking away. why?
 
Would be nice if they stopped using all the other tracks in the beginner and inter events and used them in the expert events. This games been out ages now, is anyone actually still playing with standard physics??. Great for the people who are, but surely the majority of people play pro physics, and the variety in these events is non-existent. It's almost the same as the last set of events.

Nice to see the Ferrari event still there just moved to another track.

Are none of these really world events? That's a little sad, it's hard for me to find people to race in NA at the hours I race, it's been awesome to sign in after work and be on a grid with a pile of European GTP'ers. Ah well I'll see you guys next update.

Me: ok there is one question that have never been asked before, and a detail that had never been officialy mentioned any where. which is the "catch up mode" or "Boost" as GT4 stated it, some people call it "Rubber band effect" whats the deal with that ? everyone is annoyed of it , is there is any chance to get rid of it in the future?

K.Y: "ahhaaa" we but that feature to allow a fair race for everyone for instance, if you started in the 16th position in a rooling start at fuji-speedway there is no way to win the race. also it does help but not that much. its only active when the gap is huge (more than 2 seconds). also there were some event that the RBE were not active. we will only remove it completly only when there is going to be a qualifying laps to sent every on position in the starting grid. Plus only very good and proffesional players will like playing without it active.

Me : what does it actually do ? is more grip ? or more speed ? for the left behind cars . or less grip, speed for the leading car?

K.Y: its a compination of both grip and speed for both.

then he asked me whats your favorite track in the game?

i told him suzuka .

then he said ok .. then we'll but an event called super-proffesional-event where the RBE will be disabled just for you "and he smiled"

I just tried and it is awesome !
I lost against the same guys as usual, but this was 1st time I had the feeling it was actually based on skill and not magic grip changes...
Even though for me Suzuka is a pretty boring track, I will stick to it, because I now can see some room for improvements.(and to send the 'message' of course :) )
Since I have MC:LA to keep me occupied I won't be racing GT5Ps RBE events for a while.:D

Yes they state at some events "up to 16 players"...

But... there are never 16 players.. the most I see since may 2008 is 12 (twelve)

There are no sixteen players online anymore...

I wonder why...

Who saw sixteen players online since may 2008 ?
 
The No mercy races are awesome! Just driven about 10 races and had a great time. I don't know if all the punters and quitters stopped playing in the few weeks I've not been playing GT or if the No Mercy races just attract a higher calibre of players, but there was a refreshing lack of punting and quitting. People a lap down carrying on is good to see - kudos to them.

I do feel a little guilty though. I was driving an Evo X with minimum weight, max front wing and minimum rear wing which means 649pp (the next power click is 651pp). 649pp, low weight and 4wd means starting near the front and getting off the line fast, so I kept getting a clear track, being able to put in clean laps and just driving away from everyone battling each other behind me :guilty: I think I'll have to compromise my preferred setup so I start in the pack.
 
Looks like another crap update! The No Mercy race should have been 600PP. Then there would have been alot more cars to use. Plus know WORLD EXPERT RACE, that sucks! And why Daytona oval with N3 tires, what in the heck is that for?
