With the new tyre rules, consistency seems to be the key except where you get the racing supremos who are both consistent and fast. Anything in the 2'30"s should see you be very competitive I'd say.

Edit:

Sorry, make that 2'20"s - from the looks of it, you're right there anyway

I have not really tried more than warm up for online.. as i remember I have got down to 2.20-2.21. I was really supriesed with the handling with s2 tires on this car!

It has suprised me too! I feel it´s perfect car for suz600 with s2´s.. haven´t tried the 4wd´s though. And for the reference my pb at the moment is 2:16:87.

I use online freerun to roadtest my setups before I take them to the race. I won't even put a 600pp car on the track until I can get between 2:20 and 2:22

Anything that can consistently land in that timeslot is pretty competitive for me.

Holy ***t!

In the F430? My PB is 2:20:48.... these must be the God Mode settings of which I have heard.

He's not human I tell you!

yeah! really good time timppaq! you guys from finland can sure race;) I think Im gonna try free run later today and see how low i can go!

All it's taught me so far is my setups suck

touché :D

I can tune a decent gear ratio but all the adjustments I do to the suspension make the car even more unstable :scared:

As far as I am aware Timppaq there isn't a tune for the F430, but I will have it setup soon enough.

The same for me :nervous: I have tried the online warm up and 2.18.2xx for the F430 with a really bad set up ....

+1 Gear ratios are straightforward. Suspension is like a black art - changes never do what I expect them to :grumpy:

Ok... Not really up to date with the tuners. Your tune seemed promising when I drove behind you in Suz... I´m sure I´ll be a killer when finished! 👍

Thanks but I was just trialing a few different settings, all of which made the car worse than defualt settings, which aren't exactly a picnic either. :D

At least the gear ratio worked though :dopey:

i really need to start setting up my car!!!! i drive all my cars on standard setup except sometimes i lower the suspension around 15-25mm, i don't harden the spring rate or anything...i really need to start doing this

how much difference do you guys think it would make? around 1-2 secs on a car roughly on average?

Depends on the car but the right setup can shave a whole load of secs from stock. I'd expect a decent tune to knock 2-4 secs off an 'out the box' setup but it wouldn't surprise me if it knocked as much as 10 secs, some of the standard tunings are way rough, especially in high powered machines like the ferraris and ford GT

 bloody hell i didn't know it was that good, i best start doing this now. thanks *goes to look for setups*

sorry, missed that.. was hotlapping! :)

I think I won´t be racing tonight as I have somewhere to go in a minute...

WTF!!! how can you guys get 2:16-2:17???

i can only get 2:19 to 2:22. want to see vids.

you guys are doing free runs aren't you and not counting the actual in race times? because we all know we get a huge boost in the actual race.

my fastest full time was at sunday a 6:55.... with my Evo and all time at 1th. :dunce:

but how that can be, i don´t know. **** boost, bug or what ever, there is no logik....

care to share your f430 setup please? :P

Will you get mad if I don´t? :nervous: I´ve never done any public tuning, and never will... dont mean to sound like an a**... :guilty: And some others have asked before you and this has been the answer always... ..hmm... should I found a tuning garage?? ...I dont think I would have the time... I´ll think about it... OK?

I´ve had two races where I got a very strong feeling that there were no boost/loss of grip etc. at all. And these were with normal amount on cars in grid (7-9). But if you have 1-1 with a fast dude... that would be one way... Or then you are just so fast! ;) 👍

For the reference my pb now is 2:16:84 with the f430.. still room to improve.. (saved the replay)

-Timppaq

edit: ou, online free run :)

But if you have 1-1 with a fast dude... that would be one way...

GTRP-muffin was all time behind me, but 2-3 seconds.
but you are right, if you are in an battle with quick guy(s) the laptimes are much faster.

you don't have to share if you don't want to. i'm very annoyed now that i can't get decent times on these S2 RWD's now, very annoyed. i've even tried doing the suzuka run with the f430 and just about miss the top 100 ffs. this is a first! i'm thinking it might be because i am using a controller? on all 4wd cars i can get in the top 10-25 nearly all the time so i have the right technique, i use the right lines...i just think with RWD on S2 my controller isn't sensitive enough for me to put down the power wihtout wheel spinning?

do you use a controller or steering wheel. please say steering wheel lol
