Was wondering that myself. "Oh no GTP tag, better smash them off"

Just tried 750PP Suzuka and its worse than 600, particularly the fruitcakes in GT Concepts that quite clearly can't control them. :lol:

I'm going back to 600PP in my F430 or Viper SRT I reckon.

That drives me nuts! Speaking as one of the people who can drive this car (and it's a personal favourite of mine) I feel very protective toward the ones I see being abused on the track. Punting and ramming is one thing and, although I can't condone it, I can understand the mentality somewhat - it's whatever it takes to win right? But taking a car that is so far beyond your capabilites that you lose it on most of the straights, never mind the places where you actually have to drive it leaves me speechless. These monkeys should be banned from driving the GT - they're giving it a bad name :grumpy: And where is the appeal in competing online in a race you are unlikely to even finish, let alone win?

full grid with two Ford Tests, both of them i lapped in my 28 second Victory margin... one of which was a punter who was last :lol:
 
dragonistic that was a pretty good race we had i think, you probably didn't enjoy it as much as me because i had to catch up to you after that little mistake i had. very good tactic at the end. was that intentional? you slowed right down on the last chicane to increase your chances of winning because i was more likely to get more speed out of that corner then you? nice racing anyway

how come you haven't got a GTP tag?

Yes was a nice race, and yes i did brake early and hold the middle of the road coming into the chicane so the only way you could go was outside, which means i'd have inside for the turn and you wouldn't be able to complete the pass cleanly at least. I had to trust you by your GTP tag that you wouldn't still dive up the inside and punt me like many do when i try that tactic.

In other news if you see Bandit5.. something or other now in 750PP Suzuka in a red Evo X/tuned, he WILL punt you if he gets the chance, i watched him punt 4 people (myself included) in a row as the pack got stuck behind another Evo. I repayed him the favour next lap by sending him straight into the sand and speeding off into a 20 second win margin eventually, likely because he started punting his way back before he quit of course because he wasnt winning.

Oh and no GTP tag because I usually go solo but with many contacts, the only tags i bare are often my own or none.

I'll top that - I was in a race with a full grid of GTlm's 11 + me. I was over 20secs in front by casio lap 2 when the host quit and that was after being punted into T1 on the first lap and losing what would have been 10 secs in a normal race but I'd caught the pack and passed most of them at the side of the road by the time I got to dunlop :D

Passed the rest as soon as we got to degner.

:eek: Jesus! I always figured punters were about 12. No offence to decent drivers that age but it just seems like a really immature thing to do. Just goes to show.
 
Thanks, too bad you end your race that way... Truth123 was a little to far away for me to catch him.

I still need to practice with those S2's tires.... or have a better set up :sly:
 
I'll see if i can get in using my Evo IX/T although I'll not compete to well I like the way the car handles and I'm feeling lazy today. :)

No mate, that was totally clean... really sneaky pass at the chicane but that's what it's all about hehe. I enjoyed that alot and yeah, 1,2,3 for us. :) 👍

haha yeh i liked that race too, we've had some decent races today on suzuka..had a big turn out from GT5net,GTC and GTP. 👍
 
btw the way Vagabond the guy driving the evo is my brother, i use the Tag "GTP_Sarlech" he uses the ID "Sarlech", i'm just watching and i noticed cashwars is in there too. oh looks like you quit Vagabond, Cashwars took the win.
 
No, no, I never quit... but either my router or AOL suddenly decided I had no internet. Its only just come back on which is annoying since I was having a good afternoon's racing there.

Hopefully we can pick it up later on when I've appeased the missus again ;)
