So you have the right AWD technique perhaps, it's never the same with an RWD and adjustments need to be made with your driving to make it work, if you're using X to accelerate, yes you're going to struggle, i used the sixaxis triggers for brake/accel which is how i modulate the throttle.

yeh i do use the X button to accelerate, and i do try and feed this in the best i can e.g 20% power to 60% will be done in a split second when using the X while on a throttle pedal it will from 20 to 60 smoothly so the car won't break traction. i'll have a go with the R3 analog but i can't see myself being any good at it since i've been playing with the X for so long

I transfered from X to analog and then to triggers once i got my PS3, it's not as hard as it sounds as long as you stick to it.

did you see much of a improvement in your lap times though?

Well i've done 2 time trials on GT5 and both im ranked top 10, rank 4 and 7 to be precise. Its helped me vastly during races, my laps are faster, more consistent and if the rear breaks lose i can bring it back in check more easily.

i might give it a shot then see if i can improve on my poor time.

which car and track though?

i was just in there, i think you quit though? or i didn't see you...Welz was also in there to. i finished 1st i think

edit..i had a two good races with a guy called "manu_GTChallenge" in the first race we had a good one lap battle he lost it at spoon and i took the win. the second race was a lot better, this was a 2 lap very tight battle literally side by side for the whole course, i think we only touched each other slighly on the straight but that is bound to happen. anyway i made the mistake of being on the outside at 130R on the last lap, i was about 1 car lenght away on exit of 130R, i done him on the brakes braking for the chicane but a bit too much he took me back before the second part of the chicane, i launched it out drafted him all the way to the line and in the end the gap was something like a 10th of a second. very good racing. 👍 so i guess that made it GTP 1 - 1 GTC, shame we didn't get matched up in any of the other races.

:( didn't see you. I haven't quit since I got in sync with uk86. 3 races, at least 1 win each (didn't see the last one since I was more that 30 sec behind).

yeh that was the one then, there was someone behind. i hate those people that knock you off! nearly every race i am in the gravel pit on the first corner because of them lol

Spent all evening like that... even when you survive T1, there's T2 and the S... And not everyone can do it side by side like WELTZ:tup:

Now I decided to let them go now... I'll take them one by one later if I can. If not... too bad. :)

I just can't hack 600PP at the moment, I am changing from car to car to find one I like to drive and at the moment its between the f430 and the Clio. I just can't drive well on the sports tyres, Throttle control isn't the problem, the lack of latteral grip is the problem and as a result I keep missing the apex's.

I had a go at 750PP and won all 5 of my races, so whats the difference. Is it because 750PP drivers aren't as good as 600PP drivers or is it that I am much better with slicks than sports. Before the tyre change on 600PP I was very competative, now if I come across fast drivers like Rudi_Raser or Truth123 I just have to sit behind in second place and watch them pull off into the distance. Anyone else find they are much better with one type of tyre?

Punters & disconnecters :ouch:

As soon as they miss one turn..... Disconnect.

last night 3 races, and 3 times disconnected in the 1st lap .....

Watch out for uwe40217(DE) on Suzuka 600PP - professional punter, smashing his way to 1st every time. Great fun.

White Lancer Tuned?, yeh I came across him the other day. Quick and skilled in the art of trolling his way to victory.

Anyone for a 750PP Suzuka?
