I find S2 a welcome change, theyre not exactly hard to use and it makes the racing that little bit more skill orientated as you can't ride on the throttle so much.

 Me and southendrage had a great battle but on 130R i misjudged him braking earlier then i usually do and i think we both blamed outselves, he let me by then i let him by (this all on the last lap). I tried to let him back past but saw some other person coming up and thought we're taking this 1-2 i dont care which way! Great racing.

Sjaak, sorry for the first bump on lap 2.
I bumped into the car in front and he pushed you off because of it.

And my car is rubbish when starting, but it flies through the corners :) (and also out off ;) )

Thanks Bert for the info.:)

I was a bit suprised hans Fazen pushed me off,but I know now it wasn't his fault.👍

I let you win, I thought I may have been getting in your way a bit much, it was a good race anyway 👍

I know, i was trying to let you win at the same time, it was all very confusing, we'd have been there all day if that Mines wasnt coming behind

sorry dustdriver, i completely cocked up on an epic scale on first turn. Completely my fault. I can't make the jump from an Amuse S2K on R3s to a Tii on S2s that quick... Sorry

doesn't matter. At least you don't do it on purpose.
had a virtual fight with that spanish guy in front of me after he overtook me forcefully.
lost btw. his 4wd was better suited for bumping than my nimble rwd

Yea i'm opting for my Evo IX/Tuned for now, to much time in the S2K tonight so im slow and/or crash alot in my new 600PP cars. I redeemed myself in the nxt race with dustdriver and let him pass me for no real reason at the end, just figured he did a better job that race and my pass was very opportunistic although very clean and if i may say so myself i felt it was a very well judged pass after 130R.

Loving it now with the change, atleast there's no more clios tearing up the strip.

:grumpy:

Yeh your right, looks like I will have to look at other cars.

To be honest I like the challenge of S3 tyres. I am not particularly great with them and I want to drive a new car too.

[edit] I will be on soon suzuka 600PP not sure what car yet.

XX:50

Its a bit of a pain because the 4wd are definetly the fastest so I am going back to my Evo X

mr_VOLCANO: I gather you were wondering what I was doing in the sand at Suzuka just before.... the phone rang and there's no-one else in unfortunately. Appreciate the concern and the driving display though mate :)

Yeah the 4WDs seem to have the edge now but I'm not giving up on my F430 yet... its got another 2 seconds a lap I reckon if I get my act together. And no-one rams me.

And the phone doesn't ring again.

@Stevisiov
No, the 4wd cars are only faster when accelerating from a low speed.
They suffer from understeer in corners, so you can easily catch up again.

Yea im using my 350Z now, working well and brilliant to overtake with as mr volcano saw you can be quite precise with it.

Hi' my name is Ron! .... and I'm a GTaholic :O

I never got to my bed until 6:10am as I switched over to the NTSC version and raced with some dudes in the USA until it was there bed time :sly:
I think i need help and I also need a good sleep ... since GT5P I have gone totally grey and I have bags under my eyes you could put an egg in each without cracking them  .... good fun though ;)

I had to take about 3 weeks off from Prologue, my elbows and wrists are all messed up, mostly because of my job, but coming home after work and holding the DFGT in a deathgrip every night was killing me.

Glad to hear others are suffering.

I'll be headed out, likely to Suzy 600, in a few minutes.

Well I have discovered that I am much better at 750PP than I ever was at 600PP, or perhaps its because the best competition plays at 600PP. I am not a fan of the way the 600PP has turned out so its a temprorary break for me. I will rejoin when everything has settled down.

I've discovered that I am hopeless at driving any car other than the Evo X gsr (non tuned) for PP600  All the others are just too damn slippy and I don't like to work / fight so much for one single bend :grumpy: It's like PD done this update to cater for the non race tyre lovers and stuff the rest of us who like a bit of grip! It also looks like most of the rammers will be stuck in with the race tyre drivers as they can't race to start with so obviously they will go where it's easier and that'll be the PP750:crazy:

They should have just kept a PP600 with optional R3's as it was a popular venue and thrown in an extra PP600 with the S2 restrictions for the people who like the challenge that way.

I do reckon a few reputable racers are gonna have a few too many contacts today just getting to grips with the S2 tyres and hopefully most people will take this into consideration before the good name they have is tarnished

Was wondering if anyone cares to share what laptimes are reasonable in both events the 600 and 750 in the Evo X gsr at 600 and Evo X tuned at 750? ... so far fiddling with them in free run I'm down to 2'18.7 at pp600 and a low 2'04 at pp750, I just want to know I'm up to scratch before I jump in at the deep end on the pp600 as the tyres aint really my thing :yuck:

Thanks in advance
Ron.

edit: I take it back! they didn't all leave for the 750 :( just had about 4 races on pp600 and the rammers are out in force! what a bunch of tossers too ... 8 people in one of the races and the first 6 are all nice and friendly ... the last 2 however are not and smash there way through and wreck what was gonna be a great race :( 👎

Not only is it harder to drive the bloody car! the damn rammers are out in force ... whoopee!!!

Racing was pretty bad today, but the Cappuchino is waaaaaaay underpowered, so I fell back in rammerville quite often. The standing start makes for a crowded turn 1 at PP600, and I think the overall effect on the racing has been to increase the ramming.

I didn't find the drop in grip level too daunting, but I only drove the one little car with mid level downforce front and rear, ABS on 1, no other aids. I was actually surprised at the grip, but I could tell others were not so lucky.

Dust Driver, good to finally see you out there. Some nice teamwork working through the meatheads.

yeah it was rather funny this afternoon watching people falling off the track because they didnt have the grip  although a few people started to then use me as a brake

loving the standing starts though.

@Superwally

Yea, was trying to protect you from all the bigger cars :)
If someone tried to bump you off, he had me on his tail.
Even blocked a dirty driver from overtaking you on the last straight by boxing him in.
That gave just enough time for you to pass me and come in second with me in third.

600PP Fuji at the moment with GTP_Mcguyver if anyones keen.. as long as the host doesnt keep quitting after the first corner of the first lap

I'm coming on in a few minutes maybe i'll see you guys in Suzy 600.

And for those with grip issues, you got some tuning to do :sly:

I'll be on Suzu 600 myself shortly... just as soon as the new GT-TV Nurburgring download has finished. Its HD and quite large. I wish I hadn't started it yet; I just want to race since I made a few adjustments to my F430's suspension...

Ditto mines downloading to, i might use an F430 myself i quickly tuned one yesterday and they run quite well. Also fixed my Tiis gearing and suspension as well as getting a 512BB done. I was a busy bee last night.

I might snap up a 599 actually just to be different.
