What a blast Race C is!!!!!!!!!!

The GT-R Nismo is the sureshot meta but crazy fast. The NSX-Concept was my initial car to drive in as it's more stable than the GT-R at turn 3 & Turn 6 (right hander before the bridge). But it's slower. The RC-F is the third option of a car which I'm seeing in the races so far.

The great flowing nature of St. Croix always produces such a thrill. I raced some times a while back & each race was so much fun. Close racing with amazing cornering grip. I repeat......what a thrill!

Looking forward to it!!!! Hopefully see you out there, I'm on the cusp of A on my alt account so think I'm going to jump on that this week and try and get it up into A and toward the middle.

How loose is the Nismo in the corners? I've got a very heavy foot 🤦‍♂️

It's kind of nimble & nervous on bumps. I've seen players ahead of me spinning out in the Nismo but not in a NSX. Still, Nismo is loads of fun.

I'm done playing for today Mate. I'll be playing again 14-15 hours.

P.S. - Always opt for a Rh-RM strat unless starting in the top 3 as the difference in lap times between the 2 tyre compounds is big. You could pit at the end of lap 6 on either tyre compound.

I've always found Santy Croix to be a cracking match with high-downforce cars.

Looking forward to getting out of work and giving it a blast (I'm hoping new physics brings some more manageable tyre degradation with it).

As I said, I was all weekend at Yas Marina, finally learning the track. Eventually it's a good one and the championship limits suit it perfectly. Managed a '52 dead as QT and a best '53.5 in free air in race. Happy with the overall performance, being my 1st ever visit there. It took me till Sunday evening to run a race without penalties, but eventually I did it twice. One was a quite dominant, winning by 14 sec to the 2nd (B lobby).
With the new physics now it seems that the GR3 are the "new GR4". (didn't try GR4 yet but I assume it's even less challenging than it ever was before).
Still experiencing some random disconnection btw. If it happens when you're cruising 1st, it's quite awful.
Looking forward to St. Croix in the RCF or NSX this weekend.
Wishing an excellent week to everyone.

Couple of notes from my race C. Made a mistake of putting on lap 2 for some Hards. Don't race St Croix that often so already at a disadvantage, the tyres were mostly shot at the end. Whatever your tyre choice I think halfway for pitting seems a good idea.

Edit: oh yeah, if isn't obvious, don't refuel.
Race C I’m running RH7 & RM5. Not sure which way round is best. Are any of the legends able to guide me as I do appreciate that starting position is a factor 😇🤠

I hope someday PD start to ban people who play like a ****ing stupid of **** just to ruin the race for everyone at the lobby.

The guy was ramming at everyone on porpuse just to win the race. I hate so ****ing much this kind of people, it makes my blood boil.

And you can't even swear at the idiot because he will report your account to PSN and you can get your account banned from everything.

PD literally doesn't care or they'd have built a reporting option into the game. Best advice would be quit lobbies that player is in if you join them. Find a different one.

My personal advice would be "there's no reward for having a high safety rating"... and then act accordingly :D

This weeks guide for those interested! Seems like a fantastic week to me!

Hmmmmmmmm. A LOT of cars "crabbing" in the Group3 race, do you know if they were controller users? By crabbing i mean the car sort of wobbling left to right, like it loses front grip then gains it on the rear then the opposite happens really quickly. I usually see this on modded road cars without a sticky enough tyre.

I wonder if this ties in with the comments that you can over turn the wheel and the car now turns rather than understeers off, as in is this being seen because the drivers are entering too fast but just keep turning now? It's definately there in your video, really clear on the cars you are close behind, distinct "crabbing".

Wow what a combo race C! Absolute belter!!!!

I’m off the pace with a 1.53.380 on the Alt. Need to get into the 52’s but my word it’s fun trying!!

Although I’ve not done a race C for a while and I remember why now, getting wrecked on lap two and spending 20 minutes on your own at the back isn’t much fun!

Earlier better than later I guess, assume some folks fall of the road so you make up a few spots. How do you find the physics?
Haha yeah I suppose but at least you’d get 20 mins of fun until that. Anyways, my new QT got me pole on B on the alt for a win so happy to finish the night on that. Need another couple of wins to put the alt into A.

On the physics, if I’m completely honest, if no one had told me that there had been an update I don’t even know if I would have been able to tell and everything I think maybe I do know could well just be me regurgitating received wisdom from the videos I’ve watched.

But I used to lose the car on snap oversteer a lot in Gr3, especially on hards and tonight I only lost the Gr2 car a handful of times so I’m guessing they’ve made that easier.

My style seemed to suit more understeer type of cars and my pace at LM last week was within 1s of the WR which is fast for me so it seems to suit me whatever they’ve done.

How have you found it? You’re far more in tune with how a car feels/responds than I am I think.

EDIT: Jesus Christ I don’t half waffle on don’t I 😂😂😂

Yep, I totally understand. Never give up, btw. On my alt account I usually take Friday nyt and Saturday as "from the back", then I set a QT to start (usually) in pole (or front row) for Sunday. Especially in B/A lobbies is always possible to recover, if you've pace.
I'm noticing that in those lobbies there isn't much collaboration (euphemistically speaking), just fighting for apexes from turn 1 onwards, with a lot of yellow flags during the race. That helps when you find yourself at the back (either by choise or forced by a gentil opponent).

Hi mate, tried to send a message but my big fat fingers weren’t quick enough.
See you secured a positive race 🥳🥳🥳🤠
Not as positive as yours.......🫡

Managed another good one after that, and that was me done - it's hard work that Race C 🥵
