Race the way you would if you were in a real car. If in a real race car and you had a car on your outside exiting a corner would you allow yourself to drift up into him causing damage to yourself and possibly ruining your race or would you hold the inside line on exit?

Thought so.

The trolls wont like you siding with me gump. Theyre even threatening to leave online lobbies if I appear in the same one....its too much for me to take LOL.

So if I do not agree with you I am a "troll?" You come on a forum and ask for opinions then when they are given you resort to name calling... As mature as your racing I see. You are a funny guy you!:dunce:

well I started karting at 15 ( 15 years ago ) and I can say with 100% conviction that I would nail it and force the guy to lift out. Never in a million years would I lift, move over and let him through.

You can lift or you can crash.

do you realise how ridiculous it is that you and your friend and threatening to walk out of online races if I appear in one? You didnt even see the incident lol! I happen to disagree with you ( because I was the one racing ) and for that, you basically are gonna disown me if you see me?

Now that is mature.

Blocking and forcing people away from the track is a black flag.

Every single user of this site that has posted here disagrees with you, with the exception of the guy who is arguing with himself.

But not you right, you never lift. That's for other people to do, losers, you're king of the road.

im just telling you how it is, if you want to win a race you have to be the one that doesnt lift. Sorry if that is somehow offensive to you.

Assuming it looked like this? Hard to say without seeing a video or pictures. Watch the Sun Trust car at the 40 second mark. Pretty sure he received a penalty from race control for that move. Someone correct me if i am wrong about the penalty.

you give karting a bad reputation. You do that in karting and no wonder people back out, they think your a lunatic.
I was in an incident almost identical to your's warsteiner kurve, i wa son the outside, another racer was on the inside. I My front bumper was around his rear tyres. He put the power on, drifted out wide and put me in the gravel. He didn't think he had done anything wrong, so drove off, got a 20 second time penalty. This was what you did, and had it been a race organised in the racing series section, you would have got a penalty 9 times out of 10. the one other time would have been in the case of 'lag', where the host's replay wouldn't have been clear enough to give you a penalty.

So 15 years of karting and you have not advanced from an entry level position you must noy be that good or maybe you have been held back because of your aggressive unethical driving style!

This situation reminds me of what happened to deltawing car on the last race they're on.
It was a porsche againts the deltawing nissan, only the porsche was on the outside line

its just a hobby that I enjoy more than anything. and I can think of several people I know who would do exactly the same thing. But if you actually understood what you were commenting on ( which you clearly dont ) the moral of the story is none of the people I know would put themselves in that position in the first place because its a sure fire recipe to crash.

And you are beginning to bore me now if im totally honest.

I see you are a man of means by no means, King of the road!
Do you also have a trailer for room or
rent?

Did you just quote yourself?

Yes and now I have quoted you quoting me quoting myself. Just a little fun there.

So to the racers that say in real life you would lift for the overtaking car,I say...

If you were overtaking in real life would you late brake your race car and try to dive bomb a turn to gain a position possibility killing yourself and the lead car driver and nearby spectators?

Uh oh. I've just become one of those "In real life you would, wouldn't people...... I promise not to ever compare a video game to IRL again. Please forgive me reality.

All kidding and joking around aside.....

I firmly believe the car that is trying to pass, overtake should assume all responsibility to maintain his vehicle and pass clean without slowing the race pace or bullying other drivers into giving up position.

And to the guy who trolled my posts to find that I like RS tires......

I promise to try to be more uptight about my GT5 preferences.

I'm not offended in the least.

Do you participate in an organized racing series or just lobby racing?

That is a rather bad attitude to have. You need to respect other racers and that means you have to give room to them. Clearly, you seem to think you own the track. If someone is on your outside, you give them room, you don't just plant the throttle and knock them off. If you can't accept that you were in the wrong, then you can add me to the list of people who will be avoiding you online .

Im pretty sure we raced yesterday? And I was perfectly fair. If I take you out in an unfair way then I always wait for you to rejoin as the people who I race with regularly know.

You probably have me confused with another user. Someone else on here has a very similar username.

It is no use bro, he will not admit that it was his fault even though 99% of us see it differently. I sure would love to hear from the guy that he ran off of the road for his point of view on the incedent. Or a vid of the infraction so that we could analyze it for ourselves. As far as I can see this guy is very daft.

hmm a few people agree with me, one looks to be a pretty handy driver aswell. If its your nose, its your responsibility. Can you even drive? what makes you qualified to be giving out advice?

I'm pretty sure he got a penalty for that @ Laguna, but there were a few incidents at turn 1 in that race with people.

Was it something like this? Vettel received a penalty for that. This happened towards the end of the turn, but Vettel forced him out when room should have been left for Alonso.

Forgot to pick a side. Without seeing pictures or a video it's hard to judge, but I'd say that the OP was at fault for not giving enough room. Not seeing him is no excuse. I use a map zoom view of 2/3 to see people. I also have buttons assigned for look left & look right.

The way you talk about your battle racing theory, it seems you drive dangerously, hog the track, and block other cars in order to hold your spot. Try some close door-to-door battling, it's fun, but you won't be doing it with me... IM OUT

There's a very narrow window of corner types where an outside overtake is doable, and generally, if you're going to try to overtake round the outside you have to recognise it's not going to end well most of the time.

The only way you'd pull that on me is if you're fully alongside at the apex... then I'll give you room. If you have a slight overlap and you're expecting me to compromise my exit speed by having to hold a tighter line than ideal, you'll be disappointed as you're going to get pushed wide on the exit.

Nothing wrong with that in professional racing.

Sorry mate but I never gave any advice. Put on some sport mediums get into a 550pp car and meet me online, nevermind, to prove that I can drive means we would have to be on the track at the same time and I have already admitted that there is no room for my car on the track along side your arrogance.

Nothing more to say as you are dilusional and can not admit your mistakes. I give up trying to get it through your thick skull!:sly:
