personally I like the spoilers most of the time, it irks me when joe the fully boss tuner thinks that removing the spoiler is super awesome and is an improvement on every single car lol. Should be an option though it would not be easy though it took them a year to partially get rid of jaggy shadows.

Let's remember it's not just about aesthetics. They'll also need to program how it will effect the aerodynamics of each car, which could be different. The wheels don't do this. So, whereas this is a good idea, it may not be as easy as; *poof-delete* They'll have to add a condition.

Well, I think it would just remove a bit of the rear downforce perhaps? adding aeros raise them, removing aeros reduce them. Simple :)

I agree with the statement, but each wing on each car does not provide the same downforce amount. The trunk lid on each each car wouldn't necessarily provide the same downforce. It's not always going to be zero as some trunk lids can be scooped or come to a small spoiler itself (like a Ford GT).

No, it shouldn't be removable since int some cars even the stock spoiler serves a purpose.

I'm not sure if changing the aero effects on some cars would matter. I really don't think the small spoilers on cars like the mustang gt or the challenger srt8. On the other hand the wing on the supra or evo has some effect.

Savage you are right. The small spoilers you see on the Mustang etc are for show only, that's partly the reason they are offered as a show option, not performance.

Yes please! This would look so much better without the spoiler.

Inside tuning option, within a few clicks we can change turbo (stage 1-2-3) exhaust even LSD and gear ratio. So.. add an option there to select /deselect aero parts (including stock parts) wouldn't hurt I guess.

You're sure they have no effect? Anything that cuts the wind has some effect, even small. Granted, maybe it wouldn't make a difference in the game. The point I was trying to make earlier was just that there are a lot of cars that it does change the aero and you'd need to program it in there if you want to continue to simulate it's performance. That doesn't just happen with an eraser or deleting the wing, they'll need to program it.

What I'm saying is that for most cars there it isn't necessary to go into an ocd level of detail, especially being that people don't want to change the performance with a spoiler delete, just the look. Standards aren't even programmed that detailed in the first place so that's no issue and there are very few standards where removing the wing would have an obvious effect like the r34 skyline. Remember it is still a game and needs kept in perspective as I don't feel the need to know exactly how an rx7 drives without it's little spoiler. I'm not sure Mazda even cared that much.

Indeed it would look fine. It would remind me of the Autech R33 GT-R Sedan. The only problem is the wheels, they are too small, though it's not your fault it's PD's :)

I Tweeted Kaz the link to this topic, just incase no-one else had.

Seems most of the votes so far are yes. :)

I dunno, i am a little VERY partial.
For the one thing everybody wants to remove or change the wing on... the supra. I LOVE the stock wing on the supra, and really never want to see it off of the supra. It needs its child eating wing of awesomeness.

And besides, there arent any truly awful stock wings. (yes that is a challenge)

It seams like it would be easy though... so in that respect why not.

Now wheel depth/thickness&offset, THAT we NEED. (note any classic car)

I was just about to say someone should bring this to their attention. 👍
Earlier I noticed that the supra original spoiler goes away when you put a spoiler on so I figured it would be easy to implement to some cars.
