Litchi is correct. I started out testing them at route x getting their top speeds and acceleration times to match. The SLS, R8 and Z4 had a higher top speed on the old specs. When i reduced the power so their top speeds matched, the SLS lost out alot in acceleration, so i added the engine 3 and then re-adjusted the power to maintain the balance.
This test was done on all the cars default setups (minus camber and toe settings), with aero set to the mid point for all cars, gearboxes were set to 199mph and i used the automatic gearbox to remove human error in gear changes.
I then went to Suzuka East, tuned the suspension and diff, but keeping the same gearbox settings. Aero was set at max values. I ran some laps in all the cars and 5/8 were within 0.2 of each other. I then adjusted the remaining 3 until they were all within 0.2. I then went to monza with the same setup but aero on minimum. After running skme more laps, i adjusted them some more, then returned to suzuka to check the times again.
Like i said in my message to cod, i haven't spent as much time as i would like to on them
And they will probably need tweaking some more as the data i collect by myself will never be 100% accurate. But i do believe they are closer than at Daytona. After Motegi we will have alot more data to look at and make any further adjustments.
I have also mentioned that it is extremely hard to alter the specs of cars once drivers have already picked their cars. We have a grid of all different driver levels, it is hard to see if a car is genuinely down on speed, or if it just down to driver skill / sandbagging. At Daytona in PRO the Audi's dominated the field. It was mixture of two fast drivers and a stronger car. They might have been 1-2 seconds faster than most, but that doesnt mean the car is 1-2 seconds faster, if you catch my drift.
The more of you that test, in as many cars as possible at as many tracks as possible, the more data we can collect and the better and closer the specs will be. Please try and refrain from 'moaning' and provide data to help improve the situation.
