Yes; excellent. I even saved the replay, and perhaps later this weekend I can figure out how to do something with it.
 
Heading off to AutoX today. It's the Halloween event and I guess they encourage people to dress up their cars.....I should have some interesting pics to post later!! :dopey:

It went well, won my class again but it was just the two of us. Guess it's not a big class, STU. There were a couple classes that had 10 or 11 in them. If I flash my ECU back to stock it would put me in STX and there are usually 8-10 there, more competition.

It was a fun course, different location but same group. This course is always the same and they keep course records. Smaller parking lot so you do two laps of the first section before splitting off to the final section. I liked the course a lot and got through it well, except the final turn (hairpin). If I took it in second gear I had turbo lag until the finish line, if I took it in first gear I roasted the tires but was at least accelerating.

I've gotten much more comfortable with my car and felt pretty good on every run. I think my technique is fairly good and I can identify a couple areas for improvement but I'm right up there with the experienced guys. My tires are a weak point, all seasons and fairly work. Thinking I will get some good AutoX tires after Xmas.

I ready for some racing tonight 👍
 
I'm back up here is Mass. Storm didn't hit us as hard as they thought. New York/New Jersery was harder hit. I'm good to go for tonights race if everyone else is.
 
Ok. Fbook said that GTP was down this morning as their servers are based in NY and got knocked out by the storm. Seems everything is back to normal now, we will race tonight as scheduled and hope that everyone's connections stay in tact.

Tonight will be the last race of the season, after the last 3 weeks I don't see any point in continuing with the Friday night series. Even if we got enough drivers to race that would only make 3 points races for the season and I think we all know Carr would have won anyway. How about we plan on just doing something fun on Friday instead, like karts or recommended garage?

Maybe throw another weekday night event in like say Thursday (as an example), or go back to a Saturday afternoon event that can include a broader group of racers from other time zones? Winter is coming soon, so no more weekends of fun and sun for 6 months or so.

And I'm still in favor of the old points system where your best finish for the week counts, regardless of which night you run... With my work schedule, I'll never have 4-5 consecutive Tuesdays off to race... Makes points/series racing impossible for me.

I'm working on an idea that should address all of those issues. It's going to be a bit of a departure from what we've normally done but will still feature multiple nights/days of racing each week but only require one actual commitment per month, while tossing in a lot of variety and hopefully generating a lot of interest. The "cool factor" should go up quite a bit too. 👍
 
I may just have to pop in Friday night if there's gonna be karts.

I'd love to get back to banging gears more often. Been enjoying out Mondays. We do shuffle and recommended garage. I'd like to get into racing cars or Fireblades.

FIREBLADE FRIDAY -

Non manual h pattern racers run a HP Or WT penalty. Bangers run less wt or more HP to balance it.

Or say go wide open on tune and run what you brung. Maybe Sport Softs or Race Hards. Hadn't been in that car for a bit.

KARTS are always fun.
 
All good ideas, but you all are still thinking inside the box. What I have in mind is a bit different than the average GTP racing series, but will have a very familiar feel to it. And no, nothing with multiple cars where we run one car one week and another car the next week, although it should see us in a new car every four weeks. :sly:

What sort of karts would we be talking about? I think I have one kart that the game provides, but I suppose I should procure the remaining models.

Don't know, haven't thought it through that much. RDArdvark and I are trying to work out a belated group Halloween event and karts were discussed so they were on my mind.

Wasn't there a free DLC kart at some point, came with an update, maybe Spec 2?
 
The lounge is open for the final Silvia race, qualifying will start at 8:00 pm EDT. If we don't get enough people for a points race we might bust out some karts instead. :sly:
