How do i upload a picture to the thread? do i have to use a third party host like photobucket or what ever its called to do so?
****! Forgot all about the PS4 or "Orbis" as they might call it (**** name)
any news yet?
Hi all.
Just thought I'd come say hello after being accepted into the series.
Two questions, we can tune our cars however we like as long as we don't exceed 650pp, obviously with RM mod?
Also, what's the best/easiest way to acquire the Amuse Lime Green paint?
Cheers
P.s. Feel fee to add me on PSN.

(Never mind, I have the paint)![]()
I just watched that YouTube video... looks like it was a good race! Are collisions completely off for the series? Just curious really...
Also, at Monza, particularly the last chicane complex, how much of the rumble strips are we allowed to take?
I read an OLR that said the rumble strips were part of the track, does this apply to ORDL?
So far in practise I've figured that if it doesn't red my lap it's legal?
Apologies for the questions but still new and getting a feel for how things work![]()
I'd say that this League would go with GTP's rules. It is, of course, up to kris. It's a massive grey area.
I am with Squall on this, without going into all the details within the OLR I think this is the best way to answer the question to whats legal and make it easy to understand;
With any GT5 time trial or GT Academy event there is always that fine line before your lap time turns red and the rage that follows when your on a good lap and over cook a corner and void the lap.
In general 2 wheels have to be in contact with the road surface. Now if a driver has 4 wheels off the surface to gain an advantage this is obviously unfair and against everything we stand for.
On the other hand if a driver screws up and plants his car in a flowerbed then he/she can curse themselves while everyone else passes them whilst laughing at their mistake. Oh and extra points may be had for the person who laughs loudest
So when your in a practice and your setting a lap, if the timer turns red then its a no go.
Now if you have a concern about how much someone was pushing and want it to be looked into then please file a race incident report as per General Thread.
The series managers will be saving all race replay files so any incidents can be looked into as well as for photos and videos for our threads and you tube channel.
As far as collisions are concerned I had set disable collisions to off but in our first race there were times cars were ghosting to prevent a collision. I need to look into this, I am new myself to online racing and thought that this setting would allow contact. Any input from more experienced racers would be appreciated.
Well, contact rules.
Rubbing is ok. Punting is not.
This is one of my biggest bug bears. Be warned, if I see it, you will be kicked from the race, AND will lose points.
I think that the ghost should be off, but as soon as someone abuses it, turn it back on.
Good stuff. Thanks for the replies.
I can see the argument for and against collisions. My favourite moments while racing are when you just pip that inside line on the last corner and it's a competitive scramble to the line!
My worst moments are when someone forgets to brake going into the first corner and invites you into his early sand bath!
Lol.. cant have it all I guess!

Since I get the impression ORDL is in a development phase maybe a 3 strike system can be implemented or considered with regards to punts? Once could just be a difference in braking points, twice, give the benefit of doubt, three times and out... gotta learn sometime.
Just a suggestion cos, well, I know how tempting it is to wanna kick someone after they've punted you and destroyed your lap. Also be a shame to have to turn collisions back off because of one bad apple imho
@Spatt Sounds good if I'm awake. I spent all of last night drinking coffee and breaking in a Lexus)
ok i got the hang of it now.
this is what i want to do.
i will upload the pictures iv taken of the last race, i have also made some notes on the reply which i will add as captions under (or above) the image to give an idea of what was going on during the picture.
where is the best place for me to upload them? shall i just put them in the thread like these ones above?
or do we have a better place for them?
Also can you delete my last few posts that where a test?
Sounds good (i asked my G/F to run in my car for meif you can PM me your PSN name ill get you added. failing that mines "Spatt" ..dead easy so get me added instead and, we'll power out some laps tonight (need to use and set up that car Neal gave me yet)
Upload them mate and let me speak to Itzza as we have been working on the website and have a photo section and video section. They will fit perfectly in there. After the site goes live we will be moving some photos to the site. I cant delete the posts mate will be an admin job but dont worry too much about it.
I wish my mrs would run in cars for me you lucky git!
The website might include a list of all members with psn id and RM number so anyone can see who is who and add them to their friends list
Ace! looking forward to getting stuck into this. been thinking about what you said and ill try put something good together after Monza and let you decide if you like
thanks for the offer and hope i don't disappoint
i'll catch them white wheels up of yours up next race mate don't you worry about it
yeah sounds good. i'v never used youtube to upload video yet but im looking forward to it. i use aftereffects for video processing so i'm sure ill be able to put some good videos together for the website. the reply function on GT5 is not the best though its hard to rewind to a part you like but, i think ill export everyones reply and cobble something together using some music overlay for watching the race back on the site.
