Trucks would be nice if Stacey didn't always put a Skyjaker kit on a Silverado, a Jeep, a Ford, ect. Also the S-10 they did with the bags made me laugh so hard. There needs to be a mini truckin' show. But its nice to see that they do deisle stuff.

Also anyone watch Chop, Cut, Rebuild? That shoes pretty cool, the lowrider Ranger they did was pretty cool and the burban they are making lay frame with 22's is going to be crazy. But they got something for everyone, Imports, Hot Rods, Trucks.
 
Neither. Overhaulin' has too many flame paint jobs and MTV doesn't show the engine work West Coast Customs does.

While the West Coast Customs guys have talent, they have their thumbs up their asses when it comes to what actually looks good.

Oh, I never watch TLC anymore. I used to, when they'd do Allistair Stewart doing Police Camera Action, but it got too home-decoratory for me, so I quit watching. This was like a year and a half ago. I might have programmed the TV to skip it, in fact. It's near a whole block of channels that suck.

Incidentally, I need to go to the beach. I NEED to. So, bye!
 
I'm pretty sure Tuner Transformation doesn't even build the cars that they feature. The 240sx/Silvia they built a while back was owned by a member of zilvia.net (a 240sx/Z message board) and he posted pictures of the build up and everything. The only thing Tuner Transformation did was the paintjob. The owner chose all the parts. He sourced all the parts. He installed all the parts. All they did was paint it. This may not be the case for all of their cars, but....yeah.

Oh well. I still think Monster Garage and American Hotrod are the best.

Agreed on the TLC/Home decoration thing, it's getting silly.

Yeah, but you're Canadian - of course you didn't take the sun into account. How did you find a beach in Quebec? Or was it a lake beach?

I didn't go to the beach, by the way, but I did find out there's no beach where I thought there was a beach. So no beach but I did learn something, and hell if that's not just as good.
 
I watched both today...and Overhaulin' wins hands down. It goes into more details because it's an hour-long show, and the surprise factor and the pranks make it much better. Not to mention they have that hottie Courtney Hansen. Nice work on Ian's Camaro! I really like those flames that they did...very nice.

I disagree with lethalAE86typeR...Pimp My Ride cheated today. Instead of fixing up that car, they just bought him a new Scion and tricked that out. And they were going to put a wing on it! What does a Scion need a wing for?? Maybe they had no choice because his car would've been a major danger...which exposes them as the non-automotive geniuses that they are. They bought a brand new POS and somehow made it uglier. I didn't even bother watching the end of the show when I heard they were gonna put a wing on it. A wing!

Why people put wings on FWD cars is beyond me. You don't need downforce there!
 
never have watched neither, but I would say that Overhaulin is the "bling side" of hot rodding... wich makes it instant crap. chop Foose? meh. and well, Pimp my ride... just for the name I'll keep away from that.

I would have to say Overhaulin' just because I like Chip Foose's designs.... but I would have to say that both the shows are kinda repeditive......
 
I've never seen Overhaulin' and I absolutely hate Pimp My Ride because of the annoying people. So: Neither.
 
How about Car and Driver? It shows light on new concepts, test drive, and comparsion. Its cool I think. The other one that I think is alright is Tuner Transformation, what they did to that 240sx was pretty good, they did an engine swap. The usual SR20DET.
 
Overhaulin without a doubt. That 68 camaro for that actor from that show...that was AWESOME! Other than that Tuner Transformation I also like. The one with the SRT4 was crazy because they pulled something like an additional 100-150HP with a turbo upgrade and a downpipe upgrade.
 
I think Pimp my Ride is funny, but I wouldn t get my car anywhere near there. Overhaulin isnt bad. I personally like Chop Cut Rebuild, Horsepower TV, theres another one on Speed where they show different cars, and they are doing an RSX build up the right way, oo and there's good motorcycle show on spike tv called Top Dead Center

OO did anyone used to what high Rev tuners, that show wasnt bad, but they did have a bit of "rice"

Yeah I like those shows too but that build up of the RSX on Speed was already done a llong time ago.
