Overwriting game save with car in gifts section

If I have a game save on a flash drive then am gifted a car after the save, when I overwrite the save on my PS3 with the one on the flash drive, will the car still be in my gifts section of the community tab?

To my knowledge(I could be wrong of course), no, because the gift is on the server, once it's redeemed it's gone.

So if I receive the car then overwrite the save, it will disappear forever? One more question, will overwriting a save reset the trade time so I could trade more than once a day? Or is that on the server too?

Yes, the gift will be gone forever if it is overwritten with a different save file.

Overwriting a save file will not reset the trade cap.

If you hold off on trading on one day, the following day you will be able to trade twice. As long as you know your trade reset time and time it correctly(try not to wait a few minutes or an hour before the reset).

Example:

My reset time is 5pm pst.
Wednesday - No trade
Thursday - I can trade at 3pm pst and again after 5pm pst

Thanks a lot for the info. Turns out my trade time is 5PM as well since I'm on PST too here in California. I made a trade a few minutes before 5 and I just sent another one now.
