Looks good, did you paint them or power coat them? Also how much did that run you, if you don't mind me asking, some guys in my truck club are debating about painting their rims or getting new ones.

I used 3 to 4 cans of the paint on the left, and 2 cans of the dupli-color clear on the right. Paint was $3.80/can, and the clear was $4.99/can.

This was the order I used them in:

1)Wash wheels VERY well. I used Simple green and a scrub brush.
2)Use a scotchbrite scuffing pad to prepare the surface for painting. Make sure you scuff the WHOLE surface.
3)Re-wash wheel surface to get all dust from the scuffing off.
4)I did a very light first layer of paint, then added a layer every 15 minutes until the gloss really came out.
5)Let paint dry for about an hour, then added 3-4 layers of clear about 20 minutes apart.

If you have a couple days to do this, it's not all that hard. My couple days will be stretched into three, because one of the studs on my right rear wheel busted. Some genious at Big'O Tires threaded the lug wrong, so it busted when we tried to take it off. :ouch: They are replacing it for free tomorrow, then the last wheel will be painted afterwords. :sly:

Good work. Black on Black is always a good combo, especially with a little lip. Then again, I am a bit biased on this subject.............

I think they look good, but not necesarily on your car. Lowering it would help alot.

What's funny about that is that the car IS lowered. :sly: Eibach Springs, lowered the car 1.5 in front, 1.2 in back. These wheels are the stock 16", so it looks like the car isn't lowered very much. The previous owner had 18's on it before I bought the car.

Edit: My car is lowered just as much as the Talon above... 💡

Looks nice. I like the silver band around the rim, nice touch. Keeps it from looking cheap. Nice car in general. Much love for the B15s.

I drive a black '04 Spec V and I've been debating doing something similar, but I'd probably go with gun metal. The Spec V wheels don't have a lip like that and I think it would be too much black otherwise. Seeing yours might be the inspiration I need to get off my butt and do it.

Well, that pic is in "Winter Mode" as you can see by the lack of foliage in the background. I have GC coilovers on it, and had it raised up a bit for snow clearance. Its usually a bit lower, not much though, but lower. I did notice that your car was lowered though. I think it looks good. Would look kick ass if the wheels were a little more flush with the fenders and not so in-set. But, they're stock wheels, what can you expect. Looks good.

Nice :) Is there any special trick you came up with for masking off the lip, or just careful application of tape?

I've been considering doing something like that to my wheels for a while... unfortunatly something is always breaking on the car so the free time I've got is spent fixing stuff instead.

Nope, just household masking tape. :dopey:

It looks ok, I dont really like black on black..... for some reason i like White with black wheels...lol

It looks like you did a great job though....

I've been thinking for a while that you could just paint the wheel and polish the paint off the lip...

One of my friends just got 18" black w/polished lip wheels for his silver Accord Coupe. I haven't seen the car yet, but my brother (who goes to school with him) says it looks sick. 👍

Too much work. ;) It was alot easier to just mask the lip off and paint them.

Hmmm I know the reason why you have to paint your wheels on your Sentra. You have an expensive satellite tv bill. 4 satellite dishes? hmm

True, but I figure you could get a really perfect divide between black and silver that way, plus, the lip would be polished. I guess with good masking tape, like the blue stuff, the masking isn't too bad, though.
