Ya, thats right, 42" plasma TV with a 5.1 Surround Sound.
Were also getting a entertainment center for free.
YOU KNOW WHAT SUCKS?
I HAVE TO INSTALL THE SURROUND SOUND,
and i dont know how to do it...:nervous:

Nice, I wish I could have such a system. 👍

Don't you just set up the TV in front of you, have 4 speakers on the 4 corners of the room, the center channel speaker in the middle, and the woofer on/under the center channel speaker? Then plug in the appropriate cables and set the TV to use 5.1 surround sound?

Wikipedia actually has a pretty good article about setting the speakers up in the right places. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surround_sound

Good luck setting the system up, sorry couldn't be of much help!

*shock*! That's the best thing about getting something new - you get to plug everything in! :p

Yeah, ordinarily they're easier to wire up than they sound. My system is pretty simple (only has 3 inputs, and the rest is all speakers), but i'm not sure about yours obviously.

Just stick to the manual, and congrats on the awesome setup :D:tup:

My wife asked me to move my entertainment center so I'm going to tear the equipment down and rewire everything. :D

If you need any help, just ask, 240^drift. Someone will have an answer for you. Just remember to include manufacture and model numbers incase we need to look up information.

Good luck and it isn't nearly as tough as you'd think. :)👍

Edit: Do a "dry run" before you start hooking everything together. You will need a cable or 2 (at least) and you don't want to have to make any more runs to the store than necessary. Also, if you can use fiber optic cables, do it.

Got it down guys, im in a nicely sized room, so i had each of the speakers in each corner, than 1 right behind me.
it works great!

One behind you? Do you mean one in front of you?
