Patch 1.09 Wishlist

I would like to see a PP based reward system. So you can use any car you like within the parameters (age, type, nationality, etc), but if you use a very fast car then you wont get much points. If you pick a car which is evenly matched to your opponents then you'll win big.

I was thinking somewhere along these lines:

Take the mean average PP of the opponent cars.
Divide this by the PP of your own car, and multiply the result by itself (squared) to get a 'multiplier'.

Then apply the multiplier to the base prize for that race. So if you picked a car that has 300PP, and the average of your opponents is 250PP, then your multiplier would be 0.69, so you would only get 69% of the base reward for that race. The other 31% could be called a 'fine'.

If you picked a car that has 300PP, and the average of your opponents is 400PP, your multiplier would be 1.77, so you would win the base reward, plus an additional 77% 'bonus'.

What do you think?

EDIT: If you like my idea then please vote for it here.

I'd like to see lot of standard cars upgraded to premium (I want dashboards dammit!).
More tracks having weather option and time change option. And with those even ability to set race for custom time and weather.

I haven't been driving night/dark events for awhile but I would like to see PD improving headlights of the cars.

Tires would have to be taken into account, otherwise it would too easy to just use Racing Soft ones and get a huge advantage over the competition.

More cars from series' like GT1 World, FIA GT and GT3 Europe along with the tracks from those series' and the actual series' themselves. One can dream....

no more patch, I want a DLC Expansion ranged $19.99-29.99 that will double or triple the content in this fantastic game. Then can come more patches!

I wanna see bob take g ride around ss7 with his bob brothers in four door panemera all blacked with black tints with the windows cracked just a lil bit so that the fuzz dont smell anything....

lmao i can have wishes too..

And well have porche
Window tints
The abilty to put windows up and down
And possibly a system so they can listen to lil wayne or gucci

Definitely. I really can't understand why they stopped tires from affecting the PP. Nuts.

Because no one at PD expects you to put Racing Softs on when their AI are on Comfort Softs. Mind you, they only JUST started telling you (at least in the Seasonals) what tires actually WERE on the AI.

PD are just gutless when it comes to making a REAL challenge in the game. Despite GT4 being a success BECAUSE it was a challenging game, they have listened to the ADHD kids that have never played a GT game before rather than the core of players that made GT4 the success it was.

And cut their own throats in the process... The ADHD kids will be gone as soon as the next game comes out (March 29th) and they have got all the Pokemon in the game, and the rest of us will be left cleaning up after the rave.

Add a car marketplace?
i'd just like to be able to buy certain cars that never show up for me...
that would be nice:indiff:

LMAO..

Ok done laughing

This is so true..

I'll only ask for one thing. A premium Toyota Supra RZ '97. Obviously with aero parts and such.👍 Other than that I'm okay with how the game is.

Another thing to fix.

PLEASE fix the penalty system. It's simply unfair to get a penalty if someone bumps into me, they should recieve it, not me.

The only real problem I have right now is pretty minor...

I hate nascar...always have...always will...

I want the nascar challenges over with...that is all I have left more or less in the single player Aspec aside from a few other golds to get...

what is driving me crazy is that they locked ASM and ABS to "ON" with some patch a little while ago...ONLY for Nascar, and only on Indy and Daytona...that applies to the special event, and the extreme event...they are now the ONLY cars in the game that do not allow you to turn ABS to zero and therefor disable ASM...even if you own one, you can't adjust that on certain tracks...

this is so lame because Nascars don't have ABS or ASM in any degree...It doesn't make it 'more challenging', it makes it completely ridiculous, false, and unfun...I played all day yesterday trying to get past the final daytona race in the driving school and wasn't even coming close to bronze...and its all because of the ABS being locked on now...you go through a turn and watch it just start blinking and scrubbing speed...

if I hear jeff gordon say 'ready?' one more time, my cat is probably going to file a restraining order...before they locked that on, people were walking away with this challenge...there are a bunch of videos of people doing it online, and its still a real 'challenge' but fair and can be accomplished with practice...I can't see how anyone did it with ABS on...

I'd love to see that fixed...its a blatant mistake on PD's part...

and yeah...give us Porsche...will never happen though...

For the Seasonal Events, if PD insist on keeping the prize credits/xp low then how about a gift car for completing the event like you would get in A-Spec? The harder the event the better the prize, oh and these other things:

Make all cars sellable
Able to re-win prize cars in A-Spec

WTF!? Y!! not being able to trade over 1 million is dumb who actully has the time to earn 20 mil legitamatly

While I disagree with with restricting trading to 100,000 Cr I have all the time to gather 20 million. I'll still be playing this game four years from now, unless GT6 come sooner (yeah right!!). I already have 3.5 million credits in the bank, 20 million is not impossible.

The point of this game is NOT to gather as many cars and as many credits in the least amount of time. This is not a short term commitment game. Gran Turismo is a long term commitment game.

Laughing my ass off here. NASCAR hater and Porsche lover here too, I feel your pain brother. I too can't stand Jeff Gordon talking to me and haven't tried most of the NASCAR challenges for the same reasons as you... 👍

For 1.09 I think the car buying should be made more realistic. I want to haggle with some grumpy guy with gold chains, have financing options and be hard sold into buying cars i don't want.

Also, fix the '54 Corvette description.

Password in online games.

Multiple cars in photomode locations.

Start upgrading standard cars to premium.

More rims and Aero. Less ricey wings.

Add RM modifications to more cars. (Skylines, GTR, ferrari's etc.)

- Remove all selling and trading/gifting limits.
- Make more standard cars premium.
- Allow more cars to be race modded.
- Add more wheels and aero parts.
- Add password to online servers.
- Allow the Ferrari F2007 and F10 to be used in any race that it qualifies for, including online races. What's with the goddamn restrictions on them?

I agree with a lot of the suggestions here, and would like to use this, my first post, to list my/club suggestions.

Also, suggestions are fine, but sometimes they would be better with the reason for suggestion. So, where fitting, I will include that info.

General Suggestions:

- I wouldn't mind the credits trading limit for cars if we could trade more than one normal car a day.

- Add the ability to "buy" paint from GT Auto

- More wheel selections for Premium cars and add wheel changing to Standard cars. If licensing is the issue, create your own?

- Be a stand out car/racing/sim game and give us something almost no other game has ever given us.....a 70-73/74-81 Chevrolet Camaro!!!

- 1/4 mile drag strip with launch lights with ability to launch bracket style (delayed launch per lane). At the very least, just the strip w/ launch lights

- The physics of the draft in this game are horrendous. We'd like to see MUCH more realistic draft physics, especially in NASCAR races. In fact, most of the physics applied to the NASCAR section of this game are almost laughable. They desperately need some serious tweaking. For one, NASCAR cars cannot go 214 mph at Daytona, or anywhere. Not even in a drafting situation. In real life, they MIGHT touch 200-205 for a second or two IN A DRAFT, but not on their own.

- The ability to lock lounges to invites only, and/or the ability to kick users from lounges.

- Take away the ability of users other than the lounge owner to change settings!! It's MY lounge, why can anyone in there change MY settings????

As an admin for an online racing game club, here are some suggestions that would benefit our online racing experiences. We have developed a Trans Am Racing Series style series that we race on GT5 (and other racing games) and as well we are in the process of starting an IROC type series on GT5. The following suggestions would help us make our series' more realistic and fair, and I'm sure would be beneficial to many GT5 players out there.

- For both series, we would like the ability to save, lock and share car setups, or share the cars themselves with the setups locked. For the T/A series, we use 3 cars with each car being tuned to run lap times within .5-1 second of each other, but each having it's own strengths and weaknesses. At present, we simply share the settings to input into the settings page. But we fear that some racers change some of these settings to gain an advantage. We would like to see it where we can set these cars up, lock the settings, and then distribute the cars to the racers and they cannot change any of the settings. This would also aid us in the IROC series, where every car is set up exactly the same. In lieu of this, at the very least, expand the "borrow-a-car" system to work in online lounges or allow them to be chosen from the garage instead of limiting it the "Recommended" cars.

- Also for the T/A series events, two of the three cars we use can be RM'd. However, the third one, the Shelby GT350R cannot be. We would like more cars, especially classic muscle cars, to be RM capable, so that we could have a larger car selection for our racers to choose from.

- Our club originated in Midnight Club: LA, and that is also where our T/A series originated. But we also have some great vinyls designers, and many of our racers recreated classic T/A cars in the game. We would LOVE to have this ability in GT5 by having a vinyl editor such as those in MCLA and Forza 3 (combining their abilities would be awesome).

- It would help our series' realism if there was a way to implement yellow flags into the races, if wanted. This would be made even better if the yellow flags could be "thrown" by players who are watching the event. For our series, we have 2-3 "observers" who look for rules violations etc., and it would be awesome if they could have the ability to "throw" a yellow flag when they observe an incident. Along with this, we'd like to have the ability to choose whether laps run under the yellow count off total laps.

- To aid in a realism factor, we use the GT Skyline Pace Car to run a pace lap for each race. For realism, we would like to see the lightbar working again as it did in GT4. If it could be taken a step further, it would be cool to have a couple more styles of pace cars with working lights as well. Or even better, make the safety lights an upgrade WE could choose a car to put them on.

- We would like to see a couple more US tracks added. Mainly Road Atlanta, Mid Ohio and a couple more NASCAR tracks, mainly Bristol, Atlanta and Michigan/California. In lieu of this, we would like the ability to truly CREATE tracks in the Course Creator.

- We would like to see some kind of interaction/control with the pit crews during a pit stop. Maybe something like quickness relevant to button presses or something similar. Or the ability to "train" the pit crews much like "training" the B-Spec drivers, and have the pit crews be able to level up.

- Have the option of how many tires to change during a pit stop.

Thank you for listening.

I am fine with small change in 1.08 and 1.09 but for 1.10 they better do something substantial. For 1.08 they should enable point to point race in the course maker and increase the AI pace. 1.09 should be something along the lines of fixing the PP system to include tires and enabling brake upgrades.

But for 1.10 they really should come out with something substantial. More day night cycles for certain tracks (there is no reason the Nurburgring GP and GPF courses cannot have DNC since the full tracks have it. Lagana Seca has all the track side lights modeled. As does Suzuka, Daytona, and Indy.) Weather should also be added to certain tracks (TGTT, Nurb GP/GPF, etc). Additionally the TGTT should be opened up to include all the side runways. There should be a version of Circuit De La Sarthe with the full Mulsanne straight and DNC/weather. None of that is even "new" content.

For the new stuff... 5 DLC cars like in GT5p. Either updates of standards to premiums or just new premiums. The most logical options for S-P are the R8 LMS, Veyron, a classic Lambo, any of the group-B rally cars and any of the open cockpit LMS car. For new premiums I would go with 5-10 of the following Pagani Zonda Tricolore, Veyron SS(easy), Lambo Aventador, Mustang Boss 302, LFA Nurb Edition(easy), Aston Martin DBS(easy), Ferrari 599 GTO(easy), Audi R18, BMW M3 GT2 VLN, Mercedes SLS AMG GT3, Lexus LFA VLN, Koenigsegg Agera R, SSC Ultimate Aero II, Lola-Aston Martin B09/60, Chevrolete Volt, Ford Focus RS500, Audi R8 e-Tron concept, Audi Quattro Concept and finally the Aeriel Atom 500. Of course none of that will ever happen. The ones marked (easy) I would say share at least 70% of a car that is already in the game and as a result are the most likely to be added if anything.

Continuing on tracks that we saw in previous but where not included for some strange reason. El Capitan, Grand Canyon, New York, pisa del campo, kart track, etc. Oh and of course Spa.

Probably more important than all of that is a "race creator". Basically giving you all the options seen in the online portion of the game, just ported over to the offline version. With the addition to not only choose each opposing car but each car's level of AI skill. This would give GT5 a MUCH longer lifespan and easily be worth the effort.

If all that was added, even at cost, over the next year or so, I would be very satisfied. Too much maybe, but I do not care.
