Patch 1.11 wishlist

Would RM's for the major players in the real world Nurburgring 24 hours be too much to ask?

What is the current console record for patches on a single game, anyone know?

Just curious if GT is it.

I clearly remember the discussions before GT5 was released on Codemasters F1 2010 game which was plagued by bugs and glitches and people on here claiming they'd rather have a game like GT5 which took so many years to develop so it was without major glitches from day one.

As for my wishes for a next patch or update, please remove the trading restriction of 1 million or attach resale value to very expensive cars as winning a multi-million racecar you already own and can't paint another colour to make it somewhat different is a chore.
This has clearly not been fully thought out, don't need 2 Vettel X2010's for example (Vettel challenge and B-spec prizecars) and not being able to sell them ingame for Credits or trade or give them away makes receiving these expensive cars not the joy it could be.
It's a luxury problem I know, but an increasingly annoying one.

I might be flamed here but you don't have to use it...only if you wish to.

Rewind if you mess up like on forza 3, not because you're a cheat...because let's just say you're on the last lap of a draining championship/race that goes on and boom you lose it on the last corner or something....you can't re-do the entire thing again as you have to be out for tonight....rewind. Just a thought.

I have never read such a load of utter trash on this forum.

You need to do some learning young man. Lots of learning.

I don't agree that it's utter trash, in the end the tires indeed are what stops the car. This is why if your brakes are working perfectly, but your tires don't get enough grip (for example on ice), you won't slow down fast enough.

The brakes need enough stopping power to stop the wheels from rotating, and they need to be able to do this without destroying themselves. Brakes can be upgraded with better cooling mechanics and so on, but in the end the tires give the friction to stop the car.

LittleBig Planet probably.

I'm always impressed with how much post-release love Sony games get.

Well those patches are just to pre-load future DLC, and since they release DLC so often (well, the first one), I wouldn't count those as patches since they didn't change anything gameplay related.

Then you suck it up and accept the loss. Simple really.

This is one of the things that I don't quite understand when it comes to some of the bitching about GT5. These patches aren't fixing a lot of bugs, since there aren't a lot of bugs to fix, they're adding features. And yet people still moan about them, like PD somehow owe them the features they want.

If the game was seriously buggy, I could understand people complaining all the damn time, but it's not. There are a couple of bugs here and there, but nothing major. There's nothing in there that would prevent you from completing the game (if GT5 can be "completed"), there's nothing there that would seriously detract from your enjoyment of the game, there's not even anything in there that would detract from the gaming experience much at all.

Which means it's actually a good thing that PD keep patching the game because they keep adding content...

I want the ability to limit the use of power limiters and ballast.

Perhaps an option in the restrictions/regulations window.

Set up a race weekend style event in online play.

Options to set the following to happen in every online race automatically (if you so desire) after a track vote with visible count down timer on all setup screens.

Practice 1 + Setup = 10 minutes
Qualifying = 5 minutes
Practice 2 + Setup = 5 minutes
Race
Race Completed
Vote Track
Repeat

Basically automate as much as possible.

And/or add the option for PP/BHP voting.

at the very least, as an actual race fan, i would be thrilled for some sort of way to have a/any flag with my name or psn name on the rear window, like a proper race car. so simple but very meaningful to race fans.

Seems like it should be easy to do the PSN name. Good idea

Since this is a response to my post, I'd first like to say that the part you quoted was aimed to illustrate the expectations people were having before release and they expected a near perfect game regarding bugs and glitches, at least compared to F1 2010, I didn't say anything about GT5's bugs and glitches.

But now you mention it, there were a few patches along the many updates which didn't add new content but adressed existing issues (there's a difference between a patch and an update).
Most updates also included patches (sometimes even without mentioning them) and saying the game is almost without serious bugs and glitches isn't shared by me.
Ofcourse what is perceived as serious or major is subjective, especially within the context of a videogame, and whether you really notice them or even care about it depends on each individual too.
Some mistakes or bugs/glitches do detract enjoyment in those circumstances you come across them (at least for me they do), even when overall I'm still hugely enjoying this game.

Oh, and I'm at 99% game completion (only got both 24 hours races left, so yes please bring an endurance save function).

This may sound stupid but I would like to have the ability to rename my cars. For example, when you put a spoiler in the Ferrari California, it also gains a roof. So I could, for example, rename it to California Coupé or GT or something:)...but that will not happen.

I would like this too, mainly for the cars that I have made in game to the performance specs of other cars not included in the game. I.E: Lamborghini Gallardo LP-570-4 Superleggera, Lotus Evora S, McLaren F1 LM etc.

SLS RM please

Forget those cilly ORIGINAL Tracks...more WORLD TRACKS!!

A Generic Cockpit for standard cars

Your whole garage selectable in arcade mode.

Maybe a championship/event creator somewhere along the lines of the course generator (although this may be for spec II or something)

Harder AI.

The option to premiumize a car of our choice.
Silverstone, Donnington, Oulton Park.
Seattle street circuit from GT3.

All these get my vote.

I'd like to see Brands Hatch but I doubt that'll be happen.
