Am I wrong that they had them in 3?This comes up a lot and I've been thinking about it a fair bit. Not least because there's no way I can complete the endurances without an mid-race save.
I reckon there's two factors here: willing and ability. Do PD actually want to have mid-race saves and are they capable of adding them?
I can't help thinking that the problem lies with option 1 in that PD don't want to allow users to save in the middle of races. Why is a differnet matter. Maybe to stop "cheating"?
When it comes to the ability side of things, I wonder if there is a problem here as well. If you think about everything that is going on at any given moment in a race, the amount of data required for a save must be massive, so how realistic is to be able to take a snapshot at that point and then be able to restore it without anything changing? Though didn't Le Mans 24Hr on the DC have mid-race saves?
Bigger field. Such as 32 cars instead of 16. Online and offline.
paskowitzThe PS3 will never be able to handle that while keep anything near 60fps.
To me all this game really needs is a race editor. Basically something that lets you set every possible regulation for off or on line races. In addition to everything that is offered online now, you could choose exactly which cars would be allowed in a race, exactly what upgrades they are allowed to have, choose either laps or time for the race distance, grid order, etc.
This would enable truly fair online races and more competitive offline races.

Multiplayer seasonal events!
Matchmaking!
Race rankings!
If we are going into delicate details than I would also like to have real-time mileage counter on bumper-view dials as in GT3/GT4.
Capp96100I want DLC with new tracks.

The option to premiumize a car of our choice.
It's not dumb, it's correct.Tires stop the car, not brakes. As long as the brakes can lock the wheels (or activate ABS), then the only way to improve stopping distances is stickier tires (or major aero).
Brake upgrades, in real life, only prevent over-heating; i.e. they allow *repeated* max-decel stops. Typical stock brakes will fade (can't use all the tire grip) after just a few laps, esp. with sticky aftermarket tires. Brake fade never actually occurs in GT5 -- you can always use all the available grip. Or, in other words, every time you buy a set of upgraded tires, you're also getting a free brake upgrade.
Now back to your 1.11 wishlist...
