Patch 1.11 wishlist

I want to be able to :
1)be in a team with my b-spec drivers to complete the a-spec endurances!

2)create my own Event/Championship!

Which is basically this:
-chose any track/group of tracks
-chose the cars to race against it and their performance upgrades (tires, etc.)
-chose ai level

Better AI , just raced advance race in arcade and it hurt me every time the AI would just concede to me and brake oddly to let me pass them. It's like when you get close enough the AI initiates their I GIVE UP algorithm.

4.THE AI ALGORErithm is still a sloppy labia, it needs a better ALGORErithm to make things more competitive. Surely it can't be that hard to do a decent ALGORErithm

Oh yeah, you could write decent AI on the back of a beermat. What are PD playing at?

Is there a sarcasm smiley?

Replay controls;
Fast Forward B-spec;
In race saves;
Garage icon in Practice (track selection);
Add the goddamn pit-crew to Tsukuba, 4 enduros on this track and no pit crew.

That's all I ask for now, there are tons of stuff that'd need nerfing (like opponent cars - XJR-9 in GTS race, LMPs and Toyota 7 in 24h of Nurburgring etc) but I can live with them.

- new races in a and b-spec mode ( 2hr endurance races for example )

- in race saving!!

- removing the silly 20mio cr. limit

I just wish they could fix the bodyroll problem that exists in GT5. It's very annoying to watch replays with cars that have almost no bodyroll at all. It's even more frustrating when you go back to GT Academy Demo and see that this problem doesn't exist there. The 370Z behaves so much more realistically than the same car in GT5, which is much more stiffer. Why did PD change something that was so good?

Here's a replay video of the Nissan from GT Academy Demo (not mine). I don't have a video from GT5, but you can check it on your PS3 and compare:

I know I would be asking a lot, but it would be interesting to create a world apart, as did Atari in the "Test Drive Unlimited". A big city, or country, where we could drive our cars like we were in a real town with laws, traffic and everything that has in a big city, with roads Autobans type, for those who like to step back or just strolling with your friends. A true world within a game.

Besides all that exists of course! Since Polyhpony and Kas have the best technology in physics and realism in terms of car simulators within the games, why not create a world around it? That would be just perfect! But ...

This could be one of the initial ideas for the next who knows GT6, or even better if it could be an update for GT5 itself!

But for now, I would be in GT5 new premium cars, new tracks and some improvements, such as if you can access the garage after joining in any event before it can run.

That would save us some time, instead of having to leave the event just to exchange the car in the garage and return to the event with the right car.

Do we really need these threads after every update? We get what we get, I doubt we're influencing PD's decisions.

Sorry but these are needed, if no one asked for anything then they would think there game is perfect. And you and I know its far from it.

As mentioned, the game needs American developers. The Japanese are good at exacting, but when it comes to execution it's just a total mess. Bring some different culture into the creation of the next game. You can easily tell it was designed almost strictly by the Japanese just based on the lack of freedom and functions American developers usually give.

*cough* racist *cough*

I really just want some B-spec improvements.

I admit it takes a little away from the racing aspect of the game, but then there's Photo Mode (which I am addicted to). I am totally on board with that idea BMW World!

I get goosebumps thinking of a Test Drive Unlimited-style world with Gran Turismo 5's driving physics. Man, that would be something else (and would stomp the pants out of other titles out there).

If I recall the "free roam" mode was something Kaz had wanted to put in the game (I presume for the same reasons I mentioned above), but didn't have the time/resources available at that time. That's not to say there won't be an update in the future - possibly DLC. All the same, I'll be interested in seeing what they come up with if they do ever decide to make the feature. I suspect there may be a few less people (myself included) complaining about the lack of certain tracks in the game. :)

Fix the “buy parts” feature in the tuning menu. Selecting what you wanna buy is sometimes a real annoying hassle. Actually, the whole pointer navigation in the tuning area is a mess.

-The option to delete individual time trials times from my leaderboard.
-A garage icon in time trial menu's.
-The option to buy a car without an animation shown, quick and simple.

That's it, actually

Im sure its possible, though most likely not probable....

In a 1 make online race, to be able to use the same car from your garage (outside of the Recommended garage). Opens up the opportunity to use much more different cars in a 1 make race.

body kits!!!

a big load of
front wings, rear wings, side skirts, diffusers,
exhaust ends, hoods with big air intakes,
duo colors paint, decals, racing stripes,
and more race modifications (as in gt3 or gt4).

so you can make you favorite car 'one of a kind'.
then the photo part would make more sense/fun!!

Reverse the Indy AutoGrinding patch. There is enough grinding in the god dam game!

There are guys with a life outa there. Get a brain PD.

And the option to gift multiple items at once would be great. :)

And more of the hard seasonals would be sugar. 👍

There's a whole lot of optimism in this thread!

What would be good is a race finish stats page like what is in remote race b-spec for the normal multi player.

How many positioned were changed from start to finish, best lap by each person, their total time.

I mean come on we need this type of stuff in the normal multi player not remote race b-spec.

Maybe even add the split times to see who had the fastest sector times.

We need replay controls too.

This, i dont see an improvement tbh. What did they change?

1. Permanent tire license. Every tire for every car, forever. Maybe 5MM cr. (Partially fixed with the in-garage shopping cart, but was a REAL hassle before, and has been for every game.)

2. Option to use both PP and HP/weight regulations AT THE SAME TIME.

3. Ability to visit tuning/race options menus during track loading. This is 100% wasted time.

4. Clean up menu navigation, esp. the tuning menu. Auto-sort the community tab by whatever the third icon is. It's pointless to sort by A-spec level. Have the yellow home button take you directly to the GT Life screen from community.

5. All wheels available for all cars. There is really no good reason for this not to be implemented already.

6. Stock spoiler removal and window tinting. (Just % of black would be fine. I don't need red mirror flame tint like NFS Super Street Racer Autozone Edition)

7. Online rolling starts.

8. Garage accessible in ALL events and Practice mode. I shouldn't have to go ALL THE WAY BACK to the GT Life screen to change cars to run more laps.

9. Ability to delete individual Practice Mode lap records.

10. Midfield Raceway, FFS.

11. The ability to qualify on the Nordschleife without running an ENTIRE warm-up lap. (Also the ability to qualify AT ALL in A-spec mode.)

12. Remove pointless 20MM credit limit.

Best-lap record boards for each track similar to those for practice mode that reflect your best laps no matter what mode they they came in. E.g. if I turn a hot one in A-Spec, a seasonal or online, I want it on the board. Records shouldn't disappear into the memory hole when the race is over.

For the life of me, I don't know why we can't save multiple setups per car. This feature needs to be added.

Do a B-Spec Remote Races instead of asking for return of obvious game-abusing feature.

How hard can it be?

Really.

Oh yea, remote races. 50.000 Cr for 20 minutes. And if you use the b-Spec widget for it you have to run extra your PC for it, the whole time. Maybe in Croatia electricity is cheap, but not in Germany. 👎

You love watching boring b-Spec races & pointless grinding, do you? :sly:

And it's for sure not abusing a feature or cheating, why should i do the race if even a rubber band with ZERO brain cells can win the Indy race?

GT5 has a dump "grinding" game design with not enough races. Point.

what i would like to see in the next update are the following fixes:-

online leader-boards. very high priority for replayability.

option to save car setups.

when in practice mode, quickly access car setup to adjust various settings on the fly.

further hud customisation options.

replay controls.

proper/ correct representation of top gear track. they've previously shown track camera angles and establised the feel of the show with various clips... so they have created them. Forza 4 now has it. its not a licensing issue...if it was GT would have taken the track off much like the situation with piazza del campo circuit.

Online races or practice the option to set standing start/rolling start. staggered start possibly. overall online is a nice step in the right direction and shows some great promise.
adjust the physics for online so that offline and online physics are identical. also would be very nice to add the option to include ai bots to races to make the field up.

further options regarding course generator

add loop/ point to point options as is shown on the gt5 website. also allow for a small degree of curve manipulation so we can have some input into the generated track layout. camber...elevation, elevation in sector1 is different to sector3 etc... lots of promise here...which would negate the need to add more gt classic tracks.

ai is better than previous with the new 1.10 update, it would be great to see further advances with this however, mainly how aggressive they are in corners, its nice to see they make mistakes etc however.

add the piazza del campo circuit, would be nice for drifting and go-karts also ups the track count rather than lessening it. allow for weather for all tracks. Its mainly a shader thing/ sky dome, light , particles, it isnt difficult to carry over to other tracks.

desperately add rain to top gear track... would make a huge difference to the overall dynamics of how the track works...

add the drag strip area which had the plane following 787b on trailer.

add the gymkhana which was mentioned and everyone has forgotten, add the deformable tracks (carving snow dirt up was mentioned a few months prior to GT's release).

when you use racing tyres to a car its not always displayed as a race tyre, it would be nice to see this visually ingame. also the same with other tyres.

would be nice to see, bonnets break away, damage would be better if there were more degrees of it, its not particularly dynamic to be fair. would be better to see rear wings hang off rather than twist like a piece of toffee, body work totally jamming wheel axels, loosing steering.
