Patch 1.12 introduces new bug.

I thought my controller is broken , its a bug .
gt5 is a broken game its hard fixing it with updates while bugs are just apearing

I've also noticed that, at least in B-Spec, the X1's steering wheel no longer rotates. Its really funny to watch Bob drive the car, miming the motions of turning with the wheel stuck at about 15 degree to the left.

Odd, my Bobs had no such issues with their X2010 last night doin some enduros for me.

Another bug that might have been introduced with 1.12 is the Laguna Seca pit bug. When doing the 200 mile race last night, I went into the pits and the menu disappeared, so I could not control which tires and how much fuel I was getting.

I read about it online and it seemed to be fixed a while back in a previous patch. Looks like 1.12 brought it back.

I had that in 1.10. It's called smashing into the pit hairpin :)

That menu scrolling bug was always in there, I had that happen back when I only had 1.10. It only happens more often now as the garage loads the thumbnails and just can't do it fast enough. Not really a bad thing, PD just needs to slow down how fast the cursor scrolls down, that should stop that from walking off to the left.

One thing I wish PD would do is allow a floating cursor, we have analog control for crying out loud, let us move the cursor around like a mouse already I hate having this thing moving directly to things as it is disconcerting to watch.

Honestly do you have any programming experience? With one bug fix might bring another bug because of a code change. Its not just a simple thing of changing a piece of code and everything is perfect. There is are thousands if not millions lines of code in GT5 and some parts of code are linked to each other so if that line of code is changed then something else will get changed along with it. You should learn how software coding is done before flaming PD.
And if your going to correct someones grammar atleast make sure yours is up to par first.

Hi Pdk001,

You asked:

which one is the correct spelling between apologize and apologise?

Both are acceptable in British and American English, although 'apologize' is much more common in American English, and many British writers prefer 'apologise'.

So which is it thousands or millions? I think most of us know that code is tricky and making a change could inadvertently cause a ripple effect.

Wow. The PD apologize-rs are sad. All that is tremendously wrong with this game just gets a smile and an excuse from them every time. Lost in the sauce is the fact that PD did not sell us what was promised nor a finished product so therefore charging for the patches/updates would be wholly unethical. Just as unethical as selling to the public an incomplete product that isn't as advertised. But its PD and Kaz so its ok La La La La bunnies and kittens. PD at this point most of us are along for this ride as we bought the game. Just please for crying out loud play test your patches BEFORE you release them. With each update bug you just keep us reliving your failures with this game.

👍

I wonder if GT5 has had the most patches out of every game released for the ps3 in such a short time period, or ever? I've searched for most patched ps3 game and I am not having any luck.

Small, yes, but annoying... what the hell PD?

Scrolling down through a long list of Horns, cars, whatever... the cursor now jumps to the left every...i don't know...say 30 -50 cars.

Excellent work.👍

the same problem happens for me now, too. especially in the paints where i scroll by hue to find a paint to use.

The cursor thing was there with patch 1.11

Yes this is same from 1.11.

And also this very annoying bug exists even before any patches: when scrolling down in tuning shop or in the tuning menu the cursor sometimes goes on step up instead of down direction. This has been frustrating seeing that this one doesn't get patched...

Weird. I guess for some of our systems this bug happened with 1:11 and others like me it appeared with 1:12. Wonder why that is. Maybe the same reason the patches cause major problems for some and not others.

Even though we can see the incompetence of some of the patch work... It would seem they actually try upgrading various things, whether we are informed about it or not. Let's hope we get another update today!
👍

I know Black Ops is at 1.12 now as well, so that is...quite bad.

I asked this question awhile back.
People said little big planet was the most patched.
I didn't think adding costumes as DLC counted.
I think GT5 qualifies as the most patched.

At least PD continues to support its game with patches. EA gave up after 1 patch to Shift2.

Burnout Paradise went up to 1.90. O.O

2 patches if I recall correctly. I agree Shift is nowhere near the most patched game.

Actually I think developers have an obligation to fix issues. EA didn't give a damn.

This bug has been corrected in 2.0 update. 👍
