It's normally 24 hours before release, so I'm going to guess that it will be available from the 6th, but won't be unlocked until the day of release in your area.

Steam release unlocks globally on May 7th. My preorder is made and the countdown is running.

Several of my current GT6 league members are following me to the PC/Steam route so we will be looking to get things going over there in pretty quick fashion.

Btw, I assume since we pre-ordered on steam that it means we get the digital edition, with the BMW M1, McLaren F1, etc. It looks clear but I just want to make sure I don't have missing content when I load up for the first time... like with some other games

Yep, we get it all and we get it first (in North America anyways). Those poor console saps have to wait 5 more days... ....
