And, dude, sorry if I misunderstand the point, but CODBO's community were complaining that the game was too EASY, not that it was too hard. Or have I got that wrong? :sly:

Yes you got it wrong. Go to the BO forums, loaded with complaints about overpowered guns, perks ect..... They changed many of the complaints. This is for multiplayer, not many people bought BO for the single player. Same with BC2, Team Fortress and many others.

Don't worry...
NASCAR special is near impossible since the last patch, because you can't turn off ABS anymore..

Do you have a DFGT? On the DGFT you should be able to turn it off after starting the race.. I havent tried it yet to see if you still can or not since the patch..

I just don't get it... The point many of you overlook is that, sure, maybe YOU'RE happy that things are easier. I'm so GLAD for you!

But what you don't want to acknowledge is that, your desire for easier accomplishment is of absolutely NO more importance than my desire for challenge. But PD, in their infinite wisdom, has chosen to nerf the game for you ALONE. And left in NO option for those of us that want to struggle to achieve things.

I would not be decrying this move one IOTA if the option to do the tests on the original setting had been left in. How you want to play the game is of no concern to me. Press a button that say 'Instant Achievement and all Trophies', for all I care. You MIGHT note I don't put my Level or achievements in my sig. Whipping it out and slapping it on the table next to yours isn't my kind of thing. :yuck:

But so far, every effort by PD to make the game more accessible to the driving-challenged has resulted in a permanent reduction in difficulty for those that DO want a tougher experience. So it seems that, you get what YOU want, but the only way PD will give it to you is is to take AWAY from me the game that I want. That simply is not FAIR.

And using online as a 'fix' completely ignores the issue. It is not a 'fix'. It's a distraction. For a start off, you've got to kiss a LOT of frogs before you find a few princes :yuck: Then, you've got be online when THEY are, and want to race the same tracks and cars as them, and hope that some idiot doesn't come in and ruin things. Online is a great addition to the game, but it is just THAT. It isn't a REPLACEMENT for the game, or why have any one-player game in the first place?

OK, OK, so maybe it isn't a BAD thing that PD have made the License tests easier. But it IS a bad thing that they didn't leave in the original difficulty AS AN OPTION. As I said earlier, I feel sorry for any ADULT (or even a kid) buying this game NOW looking for a one-player challenge. He has been robbed. And many of you are standing round, APPLAUDING the thief.

:banghead:

You make good points, but you are mistaken about the difficulty in finding a community to race with.

You're on GTPlanet.💡

Oh, and for the record, I enjoy the challenge. I may not be the end all of virtual racers, but I can hold my own. I don't view online as some replacement for the singleplayer either, for two nights ago, I participated in a hour long race at the ring online. It was a blast, and competitive till the last lap. You could easily find something similar.

Plus, I am not ignoring anything. Outside of a few challenges on GT4 for example, the game wasn't incredibly difficult if you know what you were doing. I see GT5 in the same light. Sure, it's thinned out a bit on the struggling end of things, but the beauty of how GT5 is set up is one can take a significantly underpowered car into any of the A-Spec races and make the challenge quite formidable. I suggest trying that.

Batter up!!

they nerfed the starts (no need to learn how to accelerate off the grid any more), they nerf it every way they can.

I must admit I agree on the starts, rolling starts are just crap unless it's a race series that has them for real (and thats the double file anyways), single file rolling starts are god awful. I HATE the fact that PD have arbitrarily brought that in.

But I still disagree with your overall argument, as MANY others have said the licenses are still difficult, I'm aiming for silvers overall with a few golds, I know that I do not have the patience or dedication to get golds. That whole fragmented process of wait, start...fail, wait, restart.... fail (but by a fraction less) wait, restart fail.....It boggles my mind completely that I read that people spend hours like this shaving fractions of a second off times to get a gold. But just because a tiny part of that licenses is made fractionally less of a bitch doesn't suddenly mean the ENTIRE process is now piss easy.

Personally I find ways of making GT more of a challenge. I'm not using TC or ABS if i think that car doesn't have them, so all the old cars are a bit of a challenge to stop and if they have a few horses under the hood then a light right foot is also needed. And it's more in keeping with the true spirit of motorsports, whereas the license tests have very little in that respect.
