What do you do to pee quietly?

Aim for the edge of the bowl and slightly ahead of you, a tangential entry will slow the flow gradually, resulting in a more subtle entry, resulting in less noise.

No need for politeness, my wife is the only other person in the house.

I really don't care if others are sleeping and I need to pee. I'll just pee, if they're properly asleep then a slight trickle of liquid isn't going to wake them up.
