Is it bad to ram people in an online lobby?

Well considering it will get you kicked from alot of rooms I would say a huge yes.

There are alot of people who want clean racing and rammers tend to increase anger.

There are dirty racing rooms that would work best for you.

Dirty Shuffle Yes its ok to ram but anything else unless a dirty enviroment ramming isn't cool unless it is a complete mistake and you say sorry for anything that occured from it

But you have a point, I can't stand people who can't pass in a clean way. Alright sometimes you might hav a little bumb but ramming is a no go.

Exactly. Nice meme by the way.

If the room says clean racing etc., yes. There are plenty of dirty racing rooms online, which I avoid.

Ramming someone during a race, especially on purpose is not good & usually gets you kicked.👎 My friends & I race fairly clean with a bit of bumping but no ramming allowed. Before a race starts however, we sometimes have a little demo derby where anything goes, just for fun.:)

That is a great idea, hope you don't mind me copying! Next time I host, I will ask if everyone is ready to go, and when we all are, I will announce 2 minutes of mayhem demo derby just to get the crashing and bashing out of our systems, then the race will start. We'll see how it flies... :)

No I don't mind. Glad I gave you a suggestion. 👍:) 2 minutes of mayhem is good for the soul.

For me,oh yeah because if someone ram me,I would ram them hard enough that they gonna spin.im agressive, even when I'm racing clean.what I mean by agressive is that if someone try to race dirty with me,I would race dirty with him and try to overtake the slower driver violently.if someone mess me up,I would report the person in the playstation network grief reporting.so,I'm a I'm not that friendly

Unless a room explicitly states "dirty" (IE ramming people to get by) you should make an attempt to follow race regulations or at the very least just be courteous to other drivers.

It's mostly common sense, but still check out this thread, it will give you an idea of how to behave in a clean room :)

Rammers and crashers in FM4 can get SUSPENDED or even BANNED from the multiplayer if you save the replay, load it to your storefront and send the details to a T10 mod on the official forum.

You got your answers.

I would say I never ram people. But I always make sure to dish out what I have received. I will not pass unless I can do it perfectly clean. But if I get someone divebombing in corners for the pass, even if I avoid hitting them, I will dive bomb them right back. They don't see it coming and they turn in to early only to find me right there to bounce off of, so be it.

Kind of like Forrest Griffin said in his fight against Rashad Evans.

"Especially when I get hit first, I just have this innate desire to get them back"

Became one of my favourite fighters for that comment, and after I found out he started as a free style fighter.

Yeah that's what I figured, it was just frustrating me the other day I was doing well in a nascar race and I got wiped out on the 2nd to last lap so the next race I played dirty and got kicked. I know I shouldn't have done it but I was really frustrated I had a great race the whole time then to get side-swiped at the end I was pretty angry.

Not always the case but Nascar lobbies are notorious for dirty driving. In the rare times I would join on of those where everyone raced clean at first, eventually the room would turn into demolition derby lol :indiff:

I was testing in my own room which had "KEEP OUT" as the title and locked it to only 2 people allowed in. I was on track testing when someone came into the room and went out on track. He waited for me to come around to the tunnel on Grand Valley East and then promptly swerved and rammed me into the wall.

Needless to say he got a nasty message from me and a nice boot out of the room. People like that give GT online racing a bad name and they should have their internet privileges taken away. :grumpy:

In real life, the cops would be called for trespassing. So much for "The Real Driving Simulator"...haha. I kid, I kid.

I'm sure you know he only did that because you called the room "KEEP OUT," right?

It's amazing how much fun people have doing that.

Well when the online physics were different and you needed to test for an online racing series, what else am I supposed to do? If I could lock it to 1 person allowed I would have. The only other thing to do is tell them to stay out. If they want to be an ass and do what that guy did, expect to get an earful from me and a boot.

I never said you could or should have done anything different. :)

Trolls will be trolls, they do things like that in every game, at least those without password locked lobbies. And if there are passwords, the determined ones will probably find a way to glitch into the rooms eventually anyway. Anything like "Private" or "Clan only" or "Clean & Fair" is like a giant flahing bullseye to them for fairly obvious reasons.

Go to Community - Your page - Lounge

You will then have a private online room that has the same physics as the open lobbies.

More to the point, the physics difference between offline and online are incredibly minimal now.

That's why I said "when" the physics "were" different.

And the lounges were different from online back then as well. Believe me, I've raced online enough and been racing with enough people that we had it all sorted out. It's not like I'm making stuff up.

Sorry, it's incredibly hot here and I've been running around out in the heat for 2 days straight, my brain isn't quite in the right place

that is very true my friend will purposely join matches that say that solely because he wants to troll and crash people. i feel like you're safer just saying dirty racing welcome because trolls won't have any fun crashing people when it's allowed.
