Why do people put spoilers on cars that just don't need them? "Yeah dude, that rear wing will really help that massive overseer on 4WDs" :indiff:. I don't even like adding wings to high power MR cars unless I can get some front downforce to. Otherwise it just ruins the balance of the car. And on paint, Here are some guidelines.

1. Do not waste matte and chrome on standard cars.
2. Don't paint cars silver chrome or gold if you actually think it looks cool.
3. In fact only use silver chrome on rims. Never gold.
4. Matte looks best on really sleek cars, with smooth lines.
5. Metallic paint can looks really good on some standards. Nothing too jaggy though.
6. Make sure you rims look good from ever possible angle and rotation, And they don't overpower the cars paint.
7. Don't add huge front overhangs to premiums, unless you can also put in a side skirt and rear diffusers(Rarely).
8. When in doubt try solid textures.

Thanks, for sharing with us your bad taste in car customisation. Yuck!

I agree with th OP,Chrome shouldnt be wasted on standards,it should be reserved for The Samba Bus,Kubblewagon,Shwimwaggon,,Fiat 500,iMiev etc.:lol::lol:

But just to annoy you i'm gonna go and Gold the lowest heap of standard junk i got a 14BHP Subaru 360 '58.:lol::lol:

Grand Prix awsome colour choices bud,i got Samba bus,Fiat 500,2 x RM Cappuccino's & RM Elise in Mazoria Andromeda with matching rims .Best colour in the IMO

No not really.Personaly i think Gold looks naff on any car,i've still got a couple of fun cars with gold on though.Silver looks ok on quite a few cars IMO.
My personal fav is the colour shift paints(especially the Mazoria Andromeda),i use them on the cars i drive the most as i like the colour. It just happens that i drive the Elise ,Cappuccino & Fiat 500 more than any other cars in the game ,and i have 722 cars to choose from. Those cars for me are the most fun to drive.
Now i think Matte paints look naff as well, but i wouldnt dream of telling people not to paint thier cars with it ,as its not up to me.we're all free to do what we like.

Spoilers and wings are different things.

Wings alter the laminar flow of air to generate thrust (or force) perpendicular to the direction of travel. On an aeroplane, the force is up. On a car, the force is down. Wings are useful in fast corners, by generating additional weight (note: not mass, weight) and increasing mechanical grip and in straight lines, by counteracting any upwards thrust generated by the shape of the car.

Spoilers disrupt (or "spoil") the laminar flow of air to prevent thrust (or force) in any given direction by causing eddy currents. On a car, this has the effect of preventing the surface on which the spoiler is mounted from moving at higher speeds. Spoilers are useful only in straight lines, by stabilising the car.

Incidentally, almost everything in my garage, standard or premium, is in Midnight Purple III with Gold Chrome wheels. Hope this helps.

I paid for the game I can paint my cars whatever colour I like.

PS
RUF BTR 96 (i think) looks the nuts with the right rear wing.

Gold Chrome good- Toyota sport 800 with big wing on back. Looks stupid enough to look good.
Gold Chrome bad- Dodge Viper. Just plain bad.

I know the difference. What im saying is adding downforce to say a, evo III or a Civic type R 08 willl just hurt the handling and the generic style spoilers look bad on most cars.

WOW, that's soooo cool of you to tell me how to play my game, 'cos we know each other so well, don't we?!

Note to self; must contact Sol_Badass each time i want to spray one of my cars or fancy adding some body mods'.

And tommorrows weather forecast - hell's gonna freeze over. Get a life and stop telling people what to do with the game they bought and worked at. 👎

There aren't any spoilers - all the (front and rear) aero parts add adjustable downforce. They're all wings.

Why will adding downforce to an Evo III or Civic Type R hurt the handling? Adding it wrongly will, but then that'll have the same effect on anything.

Wow that's deep man. If a turbo spools up in an empty wood and there's no one around to hear it, does the BOV make a sound? 👍

Haha, as obsessive as me then! I have a garage almost completely full of shiny black cars with gold rims - I just can't find a combination that I enjoy more! :dopey:

In response to the OP, I haven't ever put a rear wing or front splitter on a car unnecessarily without it needing them to improve the handling. I've found personally that it's almost a necessity for highly tuned MR and FRs if you don't want to destroy your tyres or be continually battling oversteer out of fast turns. I admit it doesn't always improve the looks, but from the bumper cam all my cars look the same to me! :sly:

Dennisch - very good 👍

Different people have different taste so we can't help it.....

i.e This colour, Mazora Seyfriet from FT-86 may look horrible if I applied it to Enzo but it looks great on the IS-F but that's from my POV but some other people think it looks horrrible
