perhaps GT6 is falling behind.

Utterly absurd logic from the pair of you.

Simply because people want PD to actually communicate, to put in place plans and actually stick to them and to provide the feature they have stated will be included in the title; and when they fail in some of these areas were are concerned and/or skeptical about PDs ability to deliver on what they promise we should go and play another title?

Any one who has valid concerns about a product should rather than discussing it simply go out and buy its competitor?
Only when they beg for GT to have certain features from a game that they acclaim no end. If they do believe Forza is so amazing, and GT is failing in every way, then shouldn't they continue to play Forza happily?

What If I told you.....they want both? Have you never had two similar products that you enjoy but wish one could have something from the other to make the enjoyment of both ever greater?

Like I said in another thread. If it weren't for PD having to deal with hackers from practically the launch of GT6, we might actually get what we paid for. But noooo. People have to say haha PD, were smarter then you, then PD has to stop, and check/change things. Its a vicious cycle that will never end and will further delay the progress of the game.

Like I always say, with the directions video games have gone(as in the early GT's, there was no DLC/Updates, you got a complete game.) "Hurry up and wait" and "Expect the worst and hope for the best".
And the same goes for all new games. Its a shame really.
Nope. Hybriding in GT5 was done the same way. Doesn't take a rocket surgeon to figure out it's going to happen in GT6, nor does it take months and years to come up with a fix. They aren't sending a guy to the moon on a bicycle. I'm not a game designer either, but I'm guessing you don't pull car and track modellers off their jobs to work on this so...yeah...no.

Because if they wanted one so badly, then wouldn't they have something to like about it in the first place? You don't buy a game that's terrible and then continually stick with and love it until it is good.

Those kinds of people are just Forza fans who couldn't care less for GT6, and they come across the GT6 forums to let everybody else know they're not a fan.

I think you'll find that most of us were very loyal Gran Turismo fans, who have "seen the light" as it were. Most of us want GT to be great again, the standard, the bar.

Fact is is that GT and PD can be so much more. We're sick of their stalling and excuses.

I think PD lost control when the car count started to increase too much. GT1 had 140 cars, GT2 650. Then GT3 went back to 181, showing where the real bottleneck was. Later GT4 jumped to 722 cars! GT5 started the concept of "standards". Things went snowballing. Didn't they realize they couldn't keep that pace and were getting into serious trouble back there, right from the beginning? 100 new fully modeled cars for iteration would've been quite enough, I guess.

Why are you limiting it to just cars and tracks? Think of promised features?

Do you think that GT6 is a great improvement over GT5 in terms of features added in the first 5 months? You should reread the first five months of patch notes for GT5, they're substantial. It may or may not be better depending on how important you think certain features are, but it's certainly pretty close. Not what I would describe as a quantum leap, anyway.

PD is doing what they can but they're a small studio full of incompetent programmers (from GT1 times) that takes forever to create something and when they're done it's still full of bugs.

Not an opinion - just describing the reality.

What PD needs are lay-offs and reconstructing. It may be romantic and all to keep the old squad but it's clearly not working. It's not working since GT5.

I've said for some time now that PD's problem is they are slow. But they deliver. They have bad delays, but they end up bringing the goods. They dont lie, as far as I know.
Well, let me tell you, they are far too slow and they need to step it up. Get with the progrem I say.

And they didn't lie? Then why did they promised the Community features will be added on the 1st of January? Why did they say a new track will be coming around February? Why did they even promised track dlc, but haven't delivered? Because they must have delayed? Please... Their taking waaaay too long to the point everyone is becoming frustrated, as well them not communicate as to why their taking so long.

Shocked as you might be there are things I like about GT6 and I don't think it's terrible (although certain aspects I believe are). I didn't buy it myself, it was a gift, but I've bought every previous GT game because I *did* love the series. I don't even own an Xbox 360 anymore but there are still plenty of things in the other series I'd love to see in GT to improve it.

Yes, there might be some people here who don't own GT6 and just come to troll but don't tar everyone with the same brush.

Yes, as I said, they are very slow, but they usually deliver with big delays, that doesnt make them a fraud or liars. I think they are aware of their own delays, I hope they improve this for the future.
Maybe its just that I'm more patient than other people, or some people just have no patience... I dont know, I suggest people to play other games than GT, thats what I do, and I'm not talking about just racing games, but videogames in general. There's life beyond GT and racing games.

If you do, good for you. Don't count yourself in those who i'm directing my comment at.

I don't appreciate the people who feel as though GT should become Forza, because they love Forza ever so much. They're separate games, and they should stay that way.

It doesn't make them a fraud or liars but it doesn't paint them in a good picture either. Not delivering at all or delivering months/years later, neither are good and PD do need to improve.

People are playing other games, I haven't touched GT6 in months, doesn't mean I'm not allowed to come here and talk about it. Oh and sooner or later people will just play other games forever, GT sales will continue to slide and it won't exist anymore. That's what happens when a company drives it's customers away, either with outright lies or slow working, delays and incompetence.

even if it meant to be an unfinished game at release, as business strategy, sony hade to sell gt6 before PS4 and driveclub launch. it was a bet and the result is questionable (gt7 may suffer a lot for it).
about updates or when to finish the game, PD never gave a provisory schedule for them (just 2014), so... its a questionable strategy, but acceptable, considering the logic above.

“What I will say is that it all comes back to that fundamental principle, and that’s that we want to build great games,” Rhode told IGN. “And we really don’t want to release a game before it’s ready. And sometimes, this happens in the normal course of business, where we think we’re on track to deliver what we think is going to be a great game, and when we get closer, we realize that we’d be doing everyone a disservice if we shipped it before it was ready.”

is gt6 life meant to start with the end of gt5 support at may?
shouldnt PD say something about that?
shouldnt it been said before gt6 launch at november, so that players knew what to expect?
if DLCs were meant to start at january, what is the cause of the delay?
PD, just a little more communication would be appreciated

PD needs to hire a resource optimisation and efficiency expert or something, that makes them go faster.
Please someone contact Kaz :D

That's the problem PD is going through. They need to stop being slow and start going fast. This is modern times now.

I haven't played GT6 for weeks now, due to it lacking so much features. And also, no one can't be patience for too long, especially when PD doesn't say a single word and keeps us in the dark expecting us to wait lord knows how long. Since I've been playing FM4, that doesn't mean I can't come here to talk about GT6 either you know...

How can we contact Kaz? The guy never communicates with others but in interviews or whatever. :boggled:

And was that all he mentioned?

No, so attempting to invalidate a point based only on one part of that point is a strawman argument and simply doesn't stand up.

To be fair, he also mentioned custom wings and updates. And a 'fight' between GT6 and forza 5, and KFC. As per the below.

So which other points would you like comments on, to avoid strawman arguments?

->Gran Turismo 6 gets a new updat, and a few other things.
->Forza Motorsport 5 gets a brand-new track.

I'm starting to think that Gran Turismo has reached it's peak.

How will they fight (and survive) Forza Motorsport 5, if they don't deliver??

Wings? Custom wings? wtf????? If I want wings i'll go to KFC, If I want custom wings i'll make them at home.I want some tracks and cars, not wings, not data logger, no some stupid GPS gadget that only works if you have the right car………

Ok, I agree with you and @Scaff on that note. But as I also said, we should have a complete game. Back in the day when we laid down $40 for the newest GT on the PS1 we got what we paid for, not a thrown together game, with missing features, mentioned on the dang box I look at, right next to my PS3. And even more features mentioned on their site.

Lets see the fine print in the top right corner on the back of the box says.

Multiplayer-Check
Leaderboards-Kinda
Lobbies-Check/Matchmaking-I dont see that option.
Messaging/Friend invite in game-No.
Voice chat-Check
Custom sound tracks-Check, still flawed like GT5 to be honest, I dont even think it works, I got 50+ songs(that I can listen to) on my PS3, made multiple lists and still nothing in game.
Add on content(aka DLC)-besides the Anniversary packs, nope.
Trophies-check
Gameplay recording & upload-humm still cant make a vid without a capture card.

Now do you want me to go on about the promised features on their site(monthly DLC, more VGT cars etc...)?

We are letting game companies screw us left and right. Look at Forza, didnt they lose like half their cars from 4 that will be "released as DLC" in the future of 5, and they will probly have to pay, for something they paid for already in the last game. Dont you think thats kinda beating a dead horse?

I'll give a good example. SSRX GT5 had a timing system. GT6 we get SSRX but no timing system. If they do release a timing system us Drag Racers will probably have to pay for it again.

Edit fixed some of my grammer...

Hey there, you seem to have stumbled on the wrong thread!
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/the-gt6-epic-whining-and-crying-thread.282208/

Biggest rant i've seen for ages though, kudos to you for spending so much time venting anger
oops sorry wrong thread .. just signed up today ! YEAH it was a rant & could still be writing bout it all .. we at FRS racing/org had to abandon all forthcoming championship events due to the game being very poor & lacking car/track consistency come racing .. we lost loads of members & most have quit gt6 altogether .. is this what sony & PD want ? call that entertainment .. im confused by it all .& seems very wrong that people are treated this way ..6 months its been out & its not really improved at all .why dont they just give an update that just solves all the problems .. dont understand ! Another thing, GT6 lacking new stuff in updates doesnt mean you dont have stuff to do in the game. You have new physics and that means you can re-discover most of the 1100+ cars, use them and tune them.
And race in all of the new tracks of course.

Twitter perhaps? Its the only thing that came to my mind.
Edit: he doesnt tweet since january.

Well I done all those already. The reason I bought GT6 was for the Course Maker, I adore making tracks. :O

Go back to ruining NFS Craig.

I've heard so many times people comparing GT to forza and complaining that forza has this and that and GT doesnt...

Come on... GT is GT, and Forza is Forza... People should stop pretending these games have to be equal, because they wont. They are different products made by different developers.
Who said they have to be equal (aside from you just now)? No one.

Now they may be made by different developers, but they are both racing titles and as such very valid for comparison, that however doesn't validate the point you made, which still remains absurd.

Only when they beg for GT to have certain features from a game that they acclaim no end. If they do believe Forza is so amazing, and GT is failing in every way, then shouldn't they continue to play Forza happily?

Odd because I don't see a great deal of that going on it this thread at all, most are being critical of PDs seeming inability to deliver on what they promise, now while they may use a competitor as a comparison to illustrate how communication with customers and sticking to planned schedules can be done. That doesn't (unless you like logical fallacies) translate into a desire for GT to turn into FM.

You also seem to be under some kind of impression that you have to either own a GT title or only ever fawn praise on GT titles to post here, you don't. Its a point that I have made in many threads and quite frankly that's not how GT Planet has ever operated or will ever operate.

It also happens to be wildly inaccurate in many cases, myself included. I no longer own any Forza title, not any MS console. I have however owned and continue to own every GT title released (and every piece of DLC), all bar one bought on launch day. I would say that makes me rather supportive of the series (and both Sony and PD as a result) and certainly well enough informed to know what is what. None of which however disbars me from being critical from what I see as issues with the series and developer.

Well I done all those already. The reason I bought GT6 was for the Course Maker, I adore making tracks. :O

Seriously? You have driven all 1000+ cars already? :dunce:

So many people are comparing games pretending and implying that GT should have everything that other games have, and more. Come on thats ridiculous. Some games always will have stuff that other games wont, and viceversa.

Haha, I'm mostly with you, but I have also adapted to the "new way" of doing things when it comes to gaming like paying for DLC, waiting for updates and bug fixes etc. I think most of us have realized that's just the way it is and we'll live with it, BUT, we expect things in a timely fashion. Timely is subjective of course and we each of our own expectations, but again, most reasonable people will agree that 2 or 3 cars and no tracks is not a Quantum Leap in DLC. Not a single major feature most of us want or would use in 4.5 months...again, most of us would agree that's too long of a wait.

So while we might start out with trust and faith and accept a game won't really be bug free at release, that faith and trust evaporates fairly rapidly when a reasonable person doesn't see consistent communication and progress and that's what we're seeing now with all the rage and ranting over the game. It's also reflected in the sales. The vast, vast, vast majority of people that play GT don't go online nor do they participate in Seasonals. They mostly play offline within the game they were dealt at launch or with updates. In that case, why buy GT6 at all, because for most casual gamers GT5 is a complete game with almost the same content as GT6 except for a handful of tracks and cars.

No. I drive less cars, like around 130. Premiums too. ;)

There aren't 1000+ different cars in GT6 that drive differently. Let's not pretend there are.
