perhaps GT6 is falling behind.

Yes because when I go on my PS3 now I can see the monthly DLC tracks, Onlince Community Features, and constant DLC
Are you really not getting the definition of nothing?
Some things have. To say that no promised features have come is a 100%, categorical lie.

What matters is they are coming. To say they are not is a lie, because the updates are containing promised features.

It doesn't matter if they weren't all in there at release, what matters is they are, and have been coming to us.

And yet they have not arrived.

Here's the point we all assume they are coming, but you have no more evidence that I have as to when and indeed if they are coming.

Based on the US boxart Global Leaderboards were coming to GT5, when did they arrive? They didn't. GT6 was also said to have “at least one additional track per month will be downloadable.”, and yet we still to see a single one (and the promised info on the first new track - that was coming in Feb - its now April).

To be frank I think people have a rather large body of evidence on which to base skepticism and frustration.
But some have. To say that nothing has arrived isn't an opinion, it's false.

Explain then @hsv010 .

The are some features that haven't come to us yet. They may do, they may not.

If you say that not one single promised feature has made its way to GT6, it's a lie -

  • More customistation
  • Data logger
  • GPS visualiser
  • Car DLC

A new rear wing editor. Whoopie.

Data logger, been talked about a long time.

How many people will use the visualiser?

An M4, Hudson, FT1. Yay. Thats 4 months of content right there!

Rear wing editor - I frankly don't care of you don't like it, more customisation was promised and you got it.

Data logger - Very useful and welcome feature, appreciated by almost everyone. Huge plus.

Visualiser - Implementation of new technology. You clearly don't understand the power this tool has, or what it could be doing for us. Famine did a very good explanation of its potential.

Car DLC - They might be a bit off schedule, but they promised cars, and you got some.

Yes... and is rear wing editor the full extent of customisation?

Data logger is welcome, agreed there.

Visualiser is very good, and has potential... but not everyone owns a Toyota 86GT and is going off to Willow or the Nordschleife tomorrow.

See above...

They are competitors in business. Of course they 'fight' each other. That's what competition in business is all about, fighting to take your competitors client base away.

While I can agree how one is trying to take away the competitors base for years now (with dubious results I may add), I do not see the single evidence how the GT even tries to "fight" Forza series. They never tried to even scratch on copying any of the features that makes Forza stand-out in the genre, from "Livery Editor", to "Auction House" (now also abandoned by the Forza 5) or "Rivals" system (initially introduced by EA titles, not Forza). So I really fail to see where the idea of the "fight" comes, because I still haven't seen a single proof where GT tried to mimic Forza, while I saw many intentions (and successes) of copycating other's features by Turn 10 for their Forza series.

However, the above leads to the conclusion how Forza fights with others, while I do not find foundation to realize how exactly is GT series "fighting" Forza.

Well then, PD should have promised less & delivered more, instead of the other way 'round. What they promised was misleading.

Please, just not that "promises" again. All features and content for the GT6 was clearly noted at the official site weeks upon release. We knew exactly what tracks and cars will be getting on the disc and what functionalities. All the "promises" were clearly noted as "coming in the future updates", without any time or date. So, technically, they started to deliver upon those promises by adding Data Logger and GPS Visualizer in the last update, leaving other "promised" functionalities for future updates, as "promised". But there is no way anyone can claim they were "misleading" anyone because everything was transparent from the beginning.

If somebody wanted a GT6 "complete package", he could educate himself and wait until everything is delivered and published as such. It is still very clear what is the current content of GT6 and what is not. I really fail to see the issue here.

And yet they have not arrived.

Here's the point we all assume they are coming, but you have no more evidence that I have as to when and indeed if they are coming.

To be frank I think people have a rather large body of evidence on which to base skepticism and frustration.

I agree Scaff, but it is also frustrating to come on GTP each day and read the same "new" threads about the same issues from almost the same ranting members that complains about things that are either subjective opinion, subjective expectations, various "VS" comparisons that were beaten to death and beyond through past years or similar.

Instead of making some constructive thread - such as MGR's unique effort to actually test the issues of GT6 which has been removed from the frontpage to the feedback section - here is another of random 140 similar threads that surfaces every week, that discusses NOTHING relevant and it is based on subjective opinion based on precognition and ultimately belonging in yours and my favorite VS thread.

I am also skeptical, but the level of comprehension and sanity in many threads has reached alarming lows. Being "frustrated" is nice, but running in circles all the time and dissolving the actual quality of discussions and community by constant ranting..

I don't know. Maybe I am getting to old for the modern community boards.

Yes... and is rear wing editor the full extent of customisation?
Nope, never said it was. But it's a very good and welcome start.

Visualiser is very good, and has potential... but not everyone owns a Toyota 86GT and is going off to Willow or the Nordschleife tomorrow.
But it's being implemented, and it's new technology. It's the same for very single new piece of technology - it needs time to grow. Could you imagine if when the television was invented, everybody flocked to have one with 1000 channels, HD and 3D, all on day one?

I dont think GT6 is falling behind, but GT6 developer for sure does!
cant believe people are still putting up with half developed gt6 . its just a poor update of gt5 ..with the same boring cars & tracks! The game online is littered with bugs and inconsistency come racing on this semi arcade racer !Client off loading servers is really poor.updates are laughable & make the game worse than it already is ..by the time they decide to sort all the issues out GT6 will be deemed obsolete ! As most will be playing next gen racers by then. They at PD & sony entertainment are full of it with their false promises & blatant lies regarding GT6 .I sadly traded my game in before it broke my PS3 .with countles system re boots , game crashes ..screen freezing ,black screen & many more problems .. How they are allowed to even put this semi arcade racer on general sale is laughable to say the least .. with their glossy tv ads & mass marketing .THEY have really ripped you off & sent us down river with this GT5 update ..oh sorry gt6 ! never going to buy anything with PD & sony entertainment NAME ON IT . wonder what the next update will bring you .. ? probably new interior for rocket car lol.. you will be WAITING a long time (at least 2/3 yrs )! for any major improvements .THEY KNOW THE PROBLEMS .YET DO NOTHING ! yet people still play this crap & rave on how mega it is WTF ! whilst they at PD & sony entertainment have a good old belly laugh at all us mugs who payed for their GT5 update in the 1st place . what a blatant blag & lies .. GT5 Update RIP ! oops sorry gt6 keep forgetting ! JM#77

Hey there, you seem to have stumbled on the wrong thread!

Biggest rant i've seen for ages though, kudos to you for spending so much time venting anger

Nobody is saying that everything will certainly come. But these updates are giving us promised features, some listed above.

  • Red Bull X Events
  • Data Logger
  • GPS Visualiser
  • 3D
  • Multi screen
  • More customisation
  • Car DLC

And I forget.... Until now, promises are kept.

For the rest, there is no date.... So we can't treat PoDi a liar :)

In regards to what @amar212 said above part of the problem is that we just don't know what IS going on, so we get these speculation type threads keep popping up. We know for a fact PD are behind schedule in some areas, like track DLC, but we have no idea how they're doing with the other parts and that just leads to frustration, guessing and complaining.

  • Data Logger
  • GPS Visualiser

Technically no but if you're going to use that as a get out clause then nobody ever lies or breaks promises. If I said I was going to send you £1000 soon and 6 months passed with nothing, I haven't lied because there is always tomorrow, right? So yeah, you can get them off on a technicality but it doesn't change the fact some of the biggest advertised features for GT6 are still not in the game nearly a year after they started promoting it.

Anyway, they have lied in one area, track DLC. They said one per month, we've not had it. Simple as that. They also lied about features that never made it to GT5, matchmaking and leaderboards. Unless you're going to invoke the above clause on those, although they don't have long to add them until the servers close.

Most of those features you quoted were already in GT5, a game that but for some additional content, is identical to this one. The only true new features you listed were the Visualizer and 99.99% of players will have no access to it and it's not yet active + the rear wings, which are just, rear wings, which we already had the functionality of. How does acquiring features that were mostly in the previous version of the game on the same console qualify as keeping their promises?

Do you feel the "quantum leap" in DLC has been achieved so far?

As I said, new technology with the visualiser. If it's not implemented in the first place, it'll never be anything.

The wings are very, very important for many people. It's a huge step in the right direction for more customisation.

Car DLC is something you're forgetting, since we got some nice new cars.

Data logger is improved over GT5.

Promised features have come. That, in my book, means that they've kept promises.

These features have been listed on the official site. Until today, guys at PoDi keep their promises. Point !

There is no "but." And GT5, we don't care.

If, after release of GT7, there is still no new tracks, B-SPEC, track editor, and other online features. Yes, we can treat Podi, a liar. But today, no, they are ok.

Being impatient, don't mean to say anything.

You don't care about lies for GT5 because that invalidates your argument? You don't care to mention track DLC because that also invalidates your argument?

It certainly has. It's a quantum leap worse than the horrible and completely random GT5 dlc schedule.
LOL. We waited over a year to get any DLC in GT5. And you're saying that getting it in the first few months is worse?

how people can still defend the varying degrees of fraud that has been gt6 is beyond me..

fraud.
There is no fraud. You've been getting promised features. and you can't deny it.

You don't care about lies for GT5 because that invalidates your argument? You don't care to mention track DLC because that also invalidates your argument?
All we care is that they are getting it to us. There's a lot of impatience going on.

Promised features have come. That, in my book, means that they've kept promises.
So, do you think we've seen a "quantum leap" in DLC was the question. Does one VGT and one real road car and zero tracks in 4.5 months qualify as a "quantum leap" in DLC?

Good for Forza players, they got only 14 tracks with the release of the game and they got 2 new tracks within 5 months of the release. They still did not get Nurburgring and many other FM3/FM4 tracks.

It is good to have subjective and personal opinions, we all have them, all regarding many things. In this particular example, I think the opposite of you. Should I create a new thread about my own subjective opinion?

What gives you the idea that Polyphony "fights" Forza series? Upon which parameters do you base your assumption? Is there any evidence you have that would back-up such subjective and personal opinion?

It seems to me that you personally and subjectively want many things that are not part of the GT6 at this moment. You can wait to see will your subjective and personal wishes ever become a reality in the GT series, as all of us are waiting for some of our own subjective and personal wishes. Myself included. Should I create a new thread about my own subjective wishes?

IF is the key word. Based on my personal experience with ALL FORZA GAMES IN THE SERIES HISTORY, the support for particular Forza games ENDS FOREVER once the "Seasonal Pass" expires. So, I have extremely hard time believing - based on my own evidential experience as the all-time Forza series player - how anything will change with the FM5. It will be great that FM5 one day reaches the amount of content and features offered by FM4 for example, but it will happen highly unlikely IMO

It is not that hard to deliver if you shipped your product with 200 cars and 14 tracks and almost none additional functionalities compared to the previous iteration of the game.

I agree with this however, we are still waiting too much things to happen with GT6.

#1 Yes, this is my opinion.

#2 Yes, i am waiting for something that was promised.

#3 These are my wishes -> https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/cars-you-want-to-see-in-dlc.295404/page-10#post-9260555

#4 Yes, you can create a thread regarding your own subjective opinion.

#5 I find useless the new features that came with v1.07, don't you??
IF "It is not that hard to deliver if you shipped your product with 200 cars and 14 tracks and almost none additional functionalities compared to the previous iteration of the game."

dude, the thing is that they have the resources to DO BETTER, MUCH BETTER!
but, this is just personal and subjective opinions (AS THEY ALL ARE)

Compared to the year long wait for GT5, it's a huge leap, yes. Could it be better? Yes. But it is coming to us.
Wow, 2 cars and no tracks qualify as "quantum leap" in DLC. Incredible:lol: When your standards are that low, I guess anything will satisfy you. By your logic, one single car would have qualified as a "quantum leap" from GT5:lol:
