noobish question , do the photographers actually stand there to get the fly-by shot or is it like on a tripod with a timer ?

I'm not sure, but im guessing it's a tripod stuck to the car and then photoshoped out?

I do bits and bobs for people now and then, but I mostly do it has a hobby. I haven't got round to shooting cars properly yet though, I mostly shoot landscapes, animals and people;
