the photo itself is amazingly high detail and clean
have to say Twin Ring Motegi is one of the best place to take photos

Scrap the got yourself,, and just have the word "lost"

Hey All, this is my first entry to this thread, and my very first poster made on photoshop. Please feel free to critisize or redicule me, im a noob at photoshop (well i installed it last week and havent stopped since so id say about 60 hours of experience) This one took me 3 hours so far. Thanks Vicious for the tuts on radial blur and smart blur, you'll see ive used them to drastic effect here.



Its based on an original BMW dealership poster from the late 90's. here...

Noticed I hadnt captured the speed of the car, i guess thats cos i used a high shutter speed to capture the cars detail and that my picture was a little dark, even though i used an exposure of +0.7..

So here is the second version..


And the original in game picture I took..
 
its finished now, well to my standards its done..



Just realised it may had looked more like the original if i used a 320i touring, but then its not an M3 :indiff:

Any feedback on my work would be appreciated.
 
M power logo doesn't stand out enough
I would add white border to it
anyhow ... it looks nice

For your first "true" attempt, it is not bad at all and I'm glad that the tutorials have helped you in getting better results. Thanx!

Just keep at it and your skills will improove daily!
 
had a long hard think of what to do next and i wanted to do a proper one due to my last few bein not all that so heres one i like it hope ya all do, feedback if ya want

It's not an ad, per se, but not bad. Chicks w/ cars ... mmmmmmmmmm ....

There is a mag cover thread as well. Even a contest .... you should take a look there ...
 
I would've liked to have made a "historical comparison ad", but my Photoshop skills are none existant. So I dedcided to upload the four pictures I would've used here instead. Until I figure out the intricacies of GIMP, I hope these shots will inspire someone elses creativity.

Does this look familiar to you? Hahaha
I can't beat the real one ... since the Nismo 350z in GT4 in silver colour only
and the angle I took the bottom one wasn't against the sunlight
because I can't find a good place to take the photo except this
so it doesn't look too metallic by comparing the real ad :guilty:

seems like there are still lots of room for improvement
