Your coloring is interesting. I find it amazing how somebody can cut part of the SUV to make it look like a car.

In Photoshop, you can use Clonestamp to cover the area you want, using the background as the brush. For example - if you had a Skyline on a white background and wanted to make a Pick-up, you could use Clonestamp to copy the white background on to the area you want removing. At least thats what I do.

The rest of the car you would brush in separately.

The colouring happened by accident lol! I was messing around with the body colour using Hue/Satuatin and as the golds turned pink, the bluey colours in the bonnet/hood (where'r u all from?:) turned green, so I just stuck with it!

Spot on TVRKing I cloned the background in to hide the car on a separate layer then just plonked the lowered body back on top, This is something I did a fair bit of (when I was working) to adapt backgrounds for landscape/portrait ads. But I really must 'brush up' on my brushing up skills, I was so used to using a tablet at work, now I've only got a poxy mouse!

Any HELPFULL pointers?
Thanks
👍

Helpful pointer, don't buy that car!!!! It's held together by sticky tape at the bottom lol, apart from that fantastic for a second attempt. Good job!👍

Oki first of all before ANYONE critisize the rims and angle and stuff, i did all this on purpose , the reason is this ,
As u see in this picture u can clearly see that the rear rim has a very high negative chamber , its a "STYLE " in japan thats been made on theese vans , i bet loads of u ppl have seen this,
"
estimagt.jpg

"""PS """THIS ESTIMA IS JUST VERSION 1 i will have 2 more with STANDARD RIM AGLE """

I wanted to create this STYLE" on my estima and IMO i think it looks awsome , i wont excpet anyone to think the same , but this is something i just had to do , No one has EVER don this to a chop , as i have seen ,
still hope u will like ti though
" i have rebrushed the intire side, brushed bumper with vents from a SCION along the grills, i brushed th vent in the side , and the side panels, i added arches from a Toyota Landcruiser ,and YES i know they are the same as Ascariss `s but we agreed on doin the same arches =) i added the sponsors on the side , they are the RImS BRAND NAME , and are real , all the japaneese txt are real to hope u like my Creation cheers .

Glacius - glad I caught you online, I've just been admiring your work from the the archives and must say it's absolutely awesome, I've been searching for clues to how you do the mesh effect on bonnets, and spoilers etc. Do you have a straight mesh that you distort and tint to match the shape? or is there a filter to use for rendering it like that?

looks like a ford concept' grille... edit: i commented @ PSC glac, but YOUR logo, looks like a scion logo now. lol

if u READ the post u wil find out ;)

Bloody hell you've done it again... 👍

Nowheresgone16
the black doesn't match much and the kit doesn't suit the turbo beast ;)

Pah. This has got to be the WORST chop I've EVER done.

I think I lost it... I can't be bothered to further work on it. Was going for a perlescent effect on the paint, which looks like crap. So meh.

Hey guys... I was wondering if you guys could recommend a good "how to learn PS" book (I guess for PS7 right now)?? I looked at a few but have been weary about buying one since I might end up taking a class too.

I've gotta confess that I've been using photoshop for 12 years and never read a book yet. I have been told that 'Photoshop 7 For Dummies' is pretty good but it might be woth getting Adobes own 'CS One on one' to be ahead when you eventually use it as that will point out the differences between 7 + CS.
Having said that IMO there is really no substitute for opening the program and fiddling with the buttons 2 see what they do + practice practice.
Happy reading :)

That's actually pretty sweet. I love the rims and carbon fibre hood. 👍

I totally agree with TVRKing here! Damn those rims look good with the blue paint, which btw looks quite good... it would just need more off an colour change i think. Could you give me the original photo of those rims? I would be so pleased :dopey:

hey, had a quick go at some photoshopping, this is rubbish compared to all yours but it is my first go with photoshop doing anything, so if anyone could reccomend some good tutorials that are easy to understand i would be grateful.

Honestly mate, no one gives a crap! Your artwork is so easy on the eye's, I dont even bother looking for errors!

Havent seen you since you used to haunt PlanetPhotoshop (bout a year or so ago)back when i had just started chopping.

Your worked rocked then and it still rocks now, only thing that has changed IMHO is that your cars actually look nicer (more pleasing to the eye) now than they used to. But the quality of your work (whilst it has improved) is still in a league of it's own.

Not sure if you remember me or not but i'll post some of my work up soon regardless.

Another cracking chop, Gla! Very, very good indeed! :D
