Back in 2003, I did this chop.

Then I took a good look at it not too long ago, and I thought to myself, god, this really sucks, and it's not really impressive. So I redid it. I rarely chop the same picture twice, but I felt this one needed some help.

That's really nice PunkRock! Old chop looks good too, but the new one looks awesome. Wing just looks way too big/high imo and there's no brakes.
Still, nice work!

Dang, you're right, there are no brakes... :odd: I'll have to fix that.

Very nice. Here's my long ago forgotten attempt at the same pic. :D Sorry for the crappy lighting but I had a really sucky monitor at that time.

Ok then...
I'll add up my own version of that car since we're digging up archives :)

The reason why your lighning look crap, cause you're not using right method.

Here a very old link: Decal & coloring!

Though those are made with my old P150, lol!

Yeah, that too. I wasn't aware of how to do it back then plus that I had a monitor who was very poor in diverting different shades. It looked good when I did it (10 years old 17" crt) but now, on a SyncMaster TFT it's utter crap.

Was that Lexus part of the weekly PSC or something?

Yep. Can't remember which week it was, however.

Here how skilled I am with coloring :P

Check carefully, I bet you don't even come close to this kind of color :P

Blue with purple shaded along with perfect reflexion!

I'll make more change for tommorow, cause this is just coloring skill & not my overall skill...

That was 2 years ago... very old shop(Was made with Photoshop 4.0 with a Pentium 150mhz with 2MB of VRAM)

Sorry to burst your bubble m8, but those aren't as special as you seem to think...

Try to do the same stuff exactly like mine with another car of the same color :P

I bet you can't, it seem simple, but it's a lot harder than what you might think!

Here a new one...

ok, there's missing a part in the CF hood, oh well... It's just training...

What's up with the black brushstroke? And why don't you give the car a real color, like I did? Dark-green or black or blue.

I've moved past that..
I'm doing a bit more complicated stuff than colouring these days.
I know it's good to have confidence in what you do, but try not to get cocky with it.

the yellow one could do with a faint black overlay, its kinda lost all the tone, heres a quick one i did i was bored lol just shaved and dropped nothing spesh

I know, I know...
I'm annoying with this car, but I really want to work more serious on it. I modified the back so it look more compact et sporty. My final shopping will look similar like the yellow one above, but I'll add it a higher racing look. Below is a comparison of what the wide body kit(recreated with my photoshop technique) make the car look more furious.

Out from the studio and into the woods we go...

Nice work, but still look fake...

-Adding a light gray blue color on the lower part of the body would help a little
-Darken the lower part of the front bumper
-Adding reflexion of the upper part of the bumper
-Adding shadow+reflexion in the side, near the flow air intake

You can asjust those part & the car will look much better. Though, I know it's not easy to fix those... :)
