Nice idea for the paint job, it looks more liked you used the paint to cover up your mistakes.

I did use the paint to fix 1 error: I couldn't blend the Z8 front with the back of the body (lighting issues, very difficult). I spent hours trying to get it to look right, and couldn't quite get it. So, I just painted it in hopes that that would fix the blending issues (it almost did, but you can still see it in some places)..

I would have stretched the edges of it over the old car body - guassain blurred the edges then applied a gradiant mask to apply a smooth transition between the two.

hm... didnt shorting the body any, but i did lower the roof.

I used the Retouch Color to target Paintbrush to manually paint the gradient onto the ca, in PSP7.04.

here's my contribution to this thread. i did it all with microsoft paint (tm), except for the shine of the two wheels and of the rear window, which i did with acdsee

its based on a renault scenic. the wheels were taken from granTurismo2. the rest of the parts are invented.
the front lights dont look too good; i cant make good antialiasing with mspaint

hm, brakes are too light, bottom of the car is off (wheels wells) front windows are too light, and the car is floating...
