umm, that thing's already been modded, why do you want it modded aagain when you could just look up pics of modded EVOs online?

Porsche GT3 Proto.. The quality of the original sucks due high jpg compression so forgive me a bit...

I got photoshop but i suck at using it.
I really need help on it.

Well i did the proto first without the racing theme. The picture is earlier in this forum. That took about 3 hours. After which i started thinking about the racing theme. Once i found the suitable track picture the work itself took about 1,5 hours.
And i'm still not satisfied to the racing version. Otherwise yes but the perspective doesn't quite match the track and the skyline. But well. Time to move on to other projects. Maybe i'll finish it up later.

this is for the monthly contest @ photoshopchop.com.. just thought i'd post my entry.... wanted comments b4 i turn it in.

that's a pretty sweet Lexus, but the paint is just a tad bit unrealistic. I mean, it's sharp & clear and all, but the side of the car seems...empty...

thats cause i shaved all the doors and handles.. (i thought the same)

Hey guys!

I just started "chopping" yesterday night, so here is my first chop. There are two version. The first is the original. The second wasdone for |MIKE|. And the third is mine, which I'm currently converting to a green...I'll post that when i'm done.
I used mostly PS7, but I did also use some MGI Photosuit 4.

<--- P.S. - Notice the avatar? Its my pug, PSed into an SL55K.(mostly MGI, but some PS7) Pug:

This is the original:

The one for me:

I'm over all pretty pleased with the results, being my first chop and all.

Comments?

That's a pretty impressive perspective change (unless you did what I'm hoping yo didn't do...). However, there is alot that it is lacking (look at the part of the body behind the wheels, when you lowered it, you forgot to fill that in, and so it looks like a crappily-made TV Prop...). Rims are a little distorted, but that's to be expected on a first chop, and the color change was a little too drastic. Other than those things, it's a pretty good chop.

look at the part of the body behind the wheels

Actually, I did fill that in but this is what happened. I changed the color before lowering the car, and when i went to lower it, the layer with the new color on it got distorted. Like, it got streched up and down. So the red overlay went over the side of the car and made the background look red and bright. Now I know to lower first.
You think thats a drastic color change? You just wait for me to get done with what i'm doing righ now.

Also about the color. the type of layer i used to change the color was actually overlay, not color change. So it just kind of saturated the image. I know to use color change layer type now.

Thanks.

I'm not going to even attempt an actual carbon fiber hood right now. I think this car looks pretty good. Still messed up on the back rim, though.

Im am |MIKE| thats just my game name.
That green one looks sweet!!
Thanks for the red one too.

There is a link to a fairly extensive carbonfiber tutorial link in my signature (follow it to the letter and you'll be fine). Also, the color change is just a tad bit too bright, which is what I mean when I say drastic. What I mean when I say that the lowering job eeds help is that the part of he car behind the wheel (the back & bottom of the wheel wells that you can see) needs to be black, otherwise you can tell that it was a chop. GTG, if you don't understand it by the time I get home this afternoon, I will show you what I meana by highlighting it.

Well, a good thing to do on the rims is going over the old rims with the new rims. Lower the opacity of the new rim to about 50% or so and then use Edit<Transform<Distort to get the right shape. If you distort to much the rim won't look right anymore so be careful.

thanks for the comments on MINE guys. lol... i' was having a problem recreating the effect, so i entered it into the challenge saying "screw the rule" lol... cause i had to do BOTH views of the thing.. which were res @ like 1600x1200.. *ing huge.. my crappy lil monitor would only let me do 1024x820.. stupid lil emachine monitor (w/ a 64 meg vid card) ... ANYWAYS.. comments would b appreciated.. ty

Looks very real susq.👍
The only thing i really find a little disturbing is the chevy logo at the back of the car which doesn't seem to be aligned in the middle.. Just a minor adjustment on that and it's perfect.
BTW any comments on my porsche?
