Pictures not loading

Hey,

I have a pretty annoying issue with GTP.
Some pictures aren't showing, just seeing a black frame with "IMG" or a part of the title in it.
Using Firefox 26.0.

EDIT: Even happens with my own attachment.

When I had the issue it was everything imaged based. As of right now everything works as intended.

When you say "everything image based", you're including the site logo, avatars, smilies, editor buttons, etc.?

Yesterday, I had the same problem with attached and some url based images. The site logo, avatars, smilies, editor buttons are visible though.

Articles never gave me issues, but the posts I screenshot yesterday show up correct now too.

Even though the posts aren't from the same member , that's what's happening to me, I can only see as an "attachment" in someones reply.

Had another pictures not loading. It was not an attatchemt. But I found out why I can't the photo in question.

The photo was uploaded with lurkmore.so and my anti virus blocked this site preventing me from seeing the photo.


Edit: Anti virus did it again. Blocked two websites and the avatar of a certain member didn't load.

I'm not positive that this is the problem but sometimes when you're selecting your I bedding option from sites like imgur or photobucket, they have one already set up with [IMG] tags. If you then click the insert image button on GTPlanet, the forum software adds image tags again, giving you [img][img]hostingsite/image.jpg[/IMG][/img]. Again, I'm only guessing but take a look and see if that's the problem.

Remember - to see the code for your post instead of the Rich Text version, click the wrench icon in the top-right corner of the reply box.

As TB mentioned, you won't have to use the insert image button if the text you copied already contains the tag - just paste it into the message.

Of course, you don't have to use a third party image service - just click "Upload a File" and the editor will make it easy to insert the image at full size or as a thumbnail with light box.

The forum software resizes pictures to fit the display, so it's fine. 👍
