Pit stop nightmare

Today I was driving my first online Nurburgring sport race with tyre wear etc, was doing pretty good for my skill level, then on the 6th lap on the way to the pit stops I made a horrible mistake, would have been fine if it the game let you correct it, instead of spawning you on the other side of the barriers where I was left with 0.1 laps worth of fuel left. From hero to zero i ended up being second to last.

Did anything like this happen to anyone? Do you think this needs to be changed? or do you think its only drivers fault for making mistake in the first place?

I also didnt pit quite so well there today. I thought I made a perfect splash and dash. But when i cross the finnish line, its not the finnish line. Its one more lap to go and I dont have any more fuel at all on board.. ..Tricky track

I didn’t know where the pit was for Mt. Panaroma and had two laps left while I was in 5th place. Decided to just turn the fuel mixture to 6 but got passed by 5 cars and ended up 10th LOL

Not very correct but you could have reversed? Your car gets ghosted so you wouldn't have ruined anyones race.

I had to laugh so that I wouldn't cry for you.
I've seen the same happen to a guy on Bathurst, I couldn't understand why he was driving towards me as I came to the start/finish straight.

When I create online lobbies I switch off the 'return players to track' option so that this sort of thing doesn't happen to people.

Oh dear....

Had a guy miss the pits entrance at Bathurst, and he ended up on the grass inside the last corner - I got a penalty for passing him under yellow flags!

My own personal method of destroying a good race in the pits (more than once mind you) is accidentally selecting "No Fuel"

The same thing happened to me at Bathurst when I came in too hot. I had to drive backwards on track to try to get back into the pits.

Yea, not every pit lane is as inviting as Maggiore or Interlagos'

Few minutes back,was entering the pits Nurburgring only and a guy rammed me while was i about to take the right turn to start the pit animation. I was like lol Funny though. Pains more in 1st place though but your mistake also as you were not under pressure and Could have easily slowed down more. Tough luck.

I miscalculated fuel somehow and ran out on the last lap this morning. Would’ve taken 2nd, but got 12th instead. Not sure how the 8 people behind me didn’t finish.

I did almost the same thing yesterday (also in a WRX). I'd never pitted at 'ring GP before, so was going a bit too fast. Ended up bumping into the end of the barrier, but was pushed left back on to the track. I had 0.8 laps of fuel left but went to mode 6 and managed another lap before pitting correctly.

I kind of hate the automatic re-spawn. It usually kicks just as I'm already about to get back on track with my wheel fully cocked to one side so all of a sudden I'm facing the right way now turning to drive off of the track and my brain has to reset and react in the heat of having just ruined my race. As often as this happens, I still never expect it.
